For all you stats guys, I'm curious, over the last 30 years or so, how many MIAA teams that have made it to the NCAA tournament have made it past the first round?

29  with about 5 or 6 first round byes included and several years of 2 teams reaching the 2nd round since 1990, prior to that they were still doing regional 3rd and 4th place games.
https://www.miaa.org/history/RecordBook/miaa_recordbook_3_mbkb_2019.pdf

These are the years no MIAA team reached the 2nd round
1995  Hope & Calvin
1999  Defiance
2003  Hope
2004  Calvin
2009  Hope
2010  Hope
2019  Albion
2020  Adrian

You forgot to include the 1992 and 2000 Calvin teams! :)

Here's what everyone loses and returns for next season.   "year" is this past season, so add one for returning players.

Adrian  17-12, 8-6 3rd tie   MIAA Tourny Champs
Jordan Harris            G  Jr.
Trey Helinski             G  So.
Robert Warrick          F  Jr.
Kendall Bellamy         F  So.
Jeremy Kalonji       F  Sr.
--------
Ke'Shaun Wyatt Morris  F  Sr.
Kaleb Swick           G   So.
Connor Pelham      G   Jr.
Tyler Gillery            F    Jr.
Others who can return w/limited action
Nolan Ansara             So.
Caleb Ballentine        So.

Big loss in Kalonji, will need to find second consistent scorer to supplement Harris.  Maybe just greater output from Warrick, Helenski, Bellamy.   Front line becomes small(?) also losing Wyatt-Morris so will need some size

Albion  21-5, 12-2  MIAA Champions

Jamezell Davis, Jr.        G   Jr.
Cortez Garland            G   So.
Josh Palo                     G   Fr.
Quinton Armstrong      F   Jr.
Caden Ebeling             C   Jr.
--------
MJ Barnes                   G   So.
Justin McAbee             F   So.
Juwan Perry                G  Jr.
Devin Holmes              F   So.

Albion graduates no one from their regular rotation of players.  Expect they'll add a player or two from JV and a Fr to the mix.  Hands down should be the favorite in 2021 and possibly strong regional favorite.

Alma  13-13,  7-7
5th
Cole Kleiver               G   So.
Ryan Stevens            G   Sr.
Steven Harvey          G    Sr.
Kyle Woodruff           G    Sr.
Brandon Rake           C    So.
--------
Zach Sinke                C    Sr.
Isaiah Williamson      F    So.
Jack Poling                C    So.
others returning
Matt Lark                  G    Jr.
Mitch Bussell             G    So.
Mason Gardner         F    So.
Nate Deyman           G    Fr.
I'm not sure if Austin Harris G  Jr(?) is still in the program?

Bit of a rebuild for the Scots, lose 4 of top 6 minutes.  Returning players probably make a decent starting 5.  Kleiver's going to have to carry them and will probably be a 20 point per game scorer

Calvin  15-11,  9-5   2nd

Thad Shymanski            G   Jr.
Tony DeWitte                W  Sr.
Emmett Warners           W  Jr.
Alex Bos                        F    Sr.
Derrick DeVries             W   Sr.
---------
Jodan Katje                  W   So.
Nate Minderhoud          W   So.
Sam LaDuke                  G    Jr.
Others who can return
Jacob Williams                 So.
Caleb Cleary                    Jr.
Isaac Davis                      Fr.

Another likely rebuild scenario for Calvin, lose 3 starters.  It was....interesting....when Calvin went to its bench this year, but Katje, Minderhoud, LaDuke played pretty well the last 3 weeks.  Lots of open space in the lineup card I imagine.

Hope  12-14,  5-9   6th
Calvin Hackert               G    Jr.
Clayton Dykhouse         G    Fr.
Tyler George                  G   So.
Evan Thomas                F    Fr.
Preston Granger           F     Jr.
-----------
Ryan Gamm                  F     Jr.
Sam Vree                     C     Jr.
Mason Opple                F     Sr.
Jeff Bikus                      F     So.
Joe Wilkins                  G      Jr.
Matt Zandstra              G     Sr.
Others who can return
Josh Lilja                     G      So.
Jess Hartmann             G     Fr.
Can return from injury
Jake Honor                  G     Jr.
Danny Beckman          G      So.

Hope had.......a year.... to forget.  Hope returns nearly all of its roster which is both a good and bad thing.  Holes remain and a large group of similar players who did little to separate themselves.   A Freshman savior is unlikely, will have to develop a lot to get better.

Kalamazoo  7-18, 4-10  7th
Tanner Blyly                G    Sr.
Jack Smith                   G   Jr.
Ben Reiter                  F    Sr.
Tre Humes                  F     Sr.
Merritt Hamann          F    Jr
------------
Jeremiah Vincent         G   Jr.
Thomas Cook              G   Jr.
Drew Scheckell            F    Jr.
Bass Ollie                    F    Jr.
Jarnard Smith              F    Jr.
Calder Pellerin            F     Jr.
Can return from injury
Drake Thompson        C    So.

I have to admit I expected more out of Kzoo this year.   Hornets lose their top three scorers and will be very tough to replace those points.  But, return an incredible 8 Seniors.  Either Kzoo makes some kind of noise next year or it could be awhile.

Trine  16-12,  8-6  3rd tie

Marcus Winters                G    Sr.
Jake Daniels                     G    Sr.

Bryce Williams                  G    So.
Langston Johnson            G    Sr.
Maurice Hunter                 F    Sr.

------------
Brent Cox                         F     Fr.
Brandan Johnson             G    So.
Aiden Warzecha               G    So.
Mitchell Geller                   F    So.
Terrel Bryant                    G    Fr.
Jason Clune                     F     Sr.

Trine loses 4 Senior starters and all good ones.  Thunder have some good players in the program and you can build a team around Cox.  Might take awhile but suspect the Thunder will be flirting with top half of the league again.  But probably some kind of a rebuilding year in Angola.

Olivet  6-19,  3-11    8th
Jared Long                        G  Jr.
Britton Angell                    F   Fr.
Keyon Rainey                    G  Sr.
Eddie Thigpen                   F   Jr.
Colin Carter                      C   Jr.
--------------
Noah Wiswary                  G   Fr.
Chris Martin                      F   Jr.
Delbert Redfield                G   Jr.
Darrian Burkett                 F   Jr.
Drew Moore                      F   Fr.
Ryan Franklin                   F    Sr.
Can return next year
Cameron Ramos       G   So.
Spencer Naffziger     F   Jr.
Shawn Pardee          G   Jr.

Felt like a patchwork roster after the graduations of the year prior.   I don't know about Pardee's status, he can return eligibility wise but his late season disappearance and injury leave a question.  Seems likely to see some attrition here.   Should mention Demetrius Lake(Holland HS) is reportedly enrolled at Olivet.

If I were grouping teams together I think its Albion followed by the next 3 of Adrian, Trine, Hope followed by Calvin, Alma, Kzoo, Olivet.   Off-season acquisitions or departure could swing some things.

Good work, Sac. As an outsider, it's strange not to see Calvin or Hope at the top of the heap. It's sounds like that won't be the case next year either..or the year after.

A lot could happen. But anyone other than Albion on top next season would be a shocking surprise for me.

Next year will be a very interesting one for Hope. I could see the offense looking 50 times better next year after a full off-season for freshmen Thomas and Dykhouse, working with Grainger, Gamm, and George...

Or.... we could be in for another season just like this one, and the Dutchman faithful will grow very discontent very quickly...

There is an interesting feature on M-Live about the top 10 college scorers in Michigan this past season.  Four of the 10 are from the MIAA: Kalonji (10) and Harris (4) from Adrian, Granger (7) from Hope, and De Vries (1) from Calvin.
