Although it is always difficult to tell college potential from high school videos (they all look like all Americans), this player really looks impressive with his ability to move and touch around the basket.

Just a guy that size who can comport himself adequately in the post is going to be a boon for Hope.  A nice piece to have, for sure.

I've lost the link but there's an article floating around somewhere that states Cheaney was also being recruited by Augustana and Illinois Wesleyan, maybe some interest from UW-Oshkosh.  His brother Colin is on the roster at IWU.   It would be cool if Hope/IWU hooked up again on the hardwood for the two brothers.  Maybe even soon.  ;)

Seems like a guy that can help Hope a little (maybe more) next year and will be a regular after Hope's 2021 Sr. class graduates, that will include 6-6 Granger, 6-8 Gamm, 6-9 Vree.

Any relation to Conrad Bult, every Knight's favorite librarian?

Marcus' dad is Steve Bult (Calvin '92), and Steve is head of school at Wheaton Academy.

No one's really talked about it but Marcus Bult is a very good player.  At this point maybe at the top of the MIAA recruiting board.  He seems like a kid that will make an immediate impact at Calvin.
