Trine's game yesterday with IU-South Bend was cancelled.

Hope has a roster posted.

Of the 14 guys with roster numbers, Jaret Griffith (6-4 transfer from Stetson) is the only newcomer.  3 JV guys from last year (including Harris Hawkins who was out most of the year due to injury) are in that group.

Nice to see coach Mitchell has returned.

Adrian snuck in a game at Spring Arbor over the weekend and called it an exhibition.

Spring Arbor 75  Adrian 58  F
https://adrianbulldogs.com/sports/m-baskbl/2020-21/boxscores/20201114_fe1p.xml?view=boxscore  Adrian's missing a guy or 2 I think?

Spring Arbor beat Great Lakes Christian 84-81 last night.   Doesn't mean a lot, but GLC is quite good for their level.

Adrian has also cancelled its two scheduled games for next week with Siena Heights and Lourdes.

sac

Trine has also cancelled its two games scheduled with Manchester for the weekend.  Trine/Manchester are 0-3 in attempts to play each other.

Bluffton 61  Adrian 59  F

Adrian led by 11 at the half and then didn't, and came back to have a few chances to win it, but didn't.  Worth noting the Bulldogs are 0-4, which means nothing.

Olivet is now showing all their games cancelled including games at Western Michigan and vs Calvin.

The next scheduled game for anyone (its Adrian) is Dec 5 which means someone will be playing tomorrow.

Story: Trine hosts Western Michigan on Saturday. How did that game come to be? WMU head coach Clayton Bates and Trine head coach Brooks Miller shared their thoughts on the game.

...and Trine is playing at Central Michigan this coming Wednesday.  Goes to show you how unorthodox the scheduling and cancellations and re-scheduling are this November.  It wouldn't surprise me that come next week both games are cancelled...but for now they are on.  The CMU game is an exhibition game for them and the WMU game is a regular season game.  Has a DI team ever played on the road at a DIII opponent?

As I recall, a D-III hosting a D-I requires an NCAA waiver, but (at least for an exhibition game) it has been done before.

Of note, Hope was also slated to play WMU, CMU, AND Purdue Ft Wayne. All got canceled due to the current situation.

Pat Coleman

In a regular-season game, it has happened, but is rare to say the least. Redlands opened the 2003-04 season by hosting Villanova.

Villanova had players suspended and was on its way to play out at Hawaii and wanted to run the clock on that suspension so it played in So Cal on the way out there. It wasn't highly thought of in general in D-III circles that a D-III team would allow Villanova to cleanse itself in that way.

Trine's exhibition game against Central Michigan tonight has been cancelled.

Knight2Day

Wait, so D1 schools are playing currently, meanwhile D3 schools are having their games cut? Makes sense.....
