Also don't discount the potential loss of leverage D1 would endure with future television contracts.  As long a product is being put out, they're fulfilling their current TV contracts and can say so when they hit the negotiating table in the next few years.

D3 doesn't need to play.

Anyway, I look forward to inevitable filter down of top quality athletes who would normally go to higher divisions as the scholarship back log clears itself.  The next 3 years or so are going to be wonky.

Tristan Feighner   (no height) PG, SG  Leslie HS will attend Albion.  Is this our first 2021 commit?

I don't know much about Tristan but I'll add him to my list of local guys to try and get out and see this Winter.......oh wait.

Josh Reichsteiner 6-0  SG  Grand Blanc HS will attend Adrian.   Also has a twin brother Jack who has not yet committed anywhere.

Saw a lot of buzz on him from AAU feeds this summer.  Pretty sure he was being recruited by every MIAA school, Cornerstone, Concordia etc.
Grand Blanc should be top 5 or 10 good in MHSAA D1.  They should at least go deep into the tournament.

I don't know man, 49 days.  In 2020 days that's like what, 100 days?  ;)

Seems more like 100 months! ;)

Many days I have trouble remembering what life was like pre-pandemic. :(

Calvin's roster set yet?

Not according to Calvin's website.  I keep looking because of the interest in whether the prized recruits and the transfer from Grand Valley actually arrived.  But it just continues to list last year's roster.

I'm pretty sure they did arrive, since they played in the team's inter squad scrimmage on October 31. That scrimmage was available to watch online.

Here were the rosters for the scrimmage:

I think there might have been one or two eligible returners who did not play and were in street clothes. A bunch of the freshmen will be "JV" (if that exists this year). Might be some others who didn't participate in the scrimmage for whatever reason that would make a roster if one ever comes out.

That was really helpful and provided much of the information I was looking to see.  Is there a box score available?

Yes, as OK noted the players you are referring to did play in the scrimmage. When/if this season gets going I expect freshmen Luke Scheffers, Uchenna Ekegeze and Marcus Bult to be early contributors. I think the first two are locks for consistent solid playing time right away with Bult's playing time depending on how things shape up and how deep Sall wants to go.

Based one what I saw in the scrimmage I would start Scheffers alongside Shymanski in the backcourt with Warners, one of Katje/Minderhoud/Ekegeze and Brandon Paul in the front court. I'm really excited for any opportunities to get Scheffers and Ekegeze in the open floor together and you can tell they come in with chemistry already. Ekegeze is one of those guys that has a knack for just being involved everywhere with great hustle and overall activity on both ends of the floor.
