I might recommend buying and downloading your tickets before you leave home.  There is very little available internet service once you're inside VanNoord (not sure about the lobby area) and I found pretty low service sitting out in the parking lot before last Wednesday's game.  Maybe others have had better luck.
Nope.  For whatever reason, that arena is a black hole when it comes to getting an internet signal.

Wednesday was particularly bad, both for the Wi-Fi in the arena and the mobile signal outside. I'm not sure what it was. Usually mobile coverage is just fine in the area outdoors. I usually also have decent success with the in-arena Wi-Fi, though you have to go through the authentication steps.

The Calvin ticket line is also usually not great so I'd 2nd what sac says and get them ahead of time. Pretty sure they can scan directly from your phone.

The concession stand line is also usually not great!
Oh, and one more thing that is usually not great: the section of the scoreboard that lists the player's number, points, and fouls, is never current. It's maddening!

Sounds like one more reason for calvin not to get a pool c bid if they lose tonight.

Speaking of scoreboards, Hope has an impressive new scoreboard, which offers points and fouls for on-court players . . . except (trivial matter) when the game pauses after a foul. As one is then likely to look up to see a player's points or foul situation, that information is often replaced by a player's picture. That said, the information is nearly always current.

For Hope fans, too bad to have both championship games simultaneous, which will mean a small Hope fan continent tonight at Van Noord, with the men finally healthy.

Calvin has received a commitment from Jordan Scott, at 6-2 guard from Plymouth Christian: https://twitter.com/JordanScott_12/status/1629536704053772293
He is the son of Donte Scott who player a couple years for Michigan in the late 90s.

Seems like a good first win for the day, now let's go get another win tonight.

Winkle, Lewis and Scott. Sounds like the makings of a law firm and the foundation stones for another fine recruiting class for Calvin. Scott has all the ingredients to shore up the backcourt. https://www.hometownlife.com/story/sports/2023/02/21/plymouth-christian-boys-basketballs-jordan-scott-scores-1000-points/69928016007/

Unfortunately, this Calvin-Hope game is playing out a lot like the one last week.  Calvin with only 22 points at the half. Couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat.

In fairness, it's a tough time of year for water.

HOPEful

Wow.

For as disappointing as this season was at times, this team gutted out big wins when it mattered. They beat their rival 2 out of 3 times and are headed to the playoffs. Better still, they look healthier than they have all season. Happy to get to see Evan Thomas play at least one more game!
Let's go Dutchmen!

Congratulations Hope.   Calvin once again played like that deer in the headlights look throughout the game. Some of it is just impressive D by Hope, but Calvin also had no idea what they were doing on offense once again. Really ugly to watch.   Hurts not having a true point guard.  Hopefully they get that solved by next season.

Cannot agree with this more. Guard play difference between Calvin and Hope these last 2 games of the year was just dramatic.  Calvin needs to get both guard positions figured out.

I don't think I would say Hope's play was all that much prettier, they just made more shots for the first 32 minutes. You expect a grind and Calvin had some looks and opportunities that they routinely didn't convert. Make shots. It doesn't have to be more grandiose than that.

Congrats to Hope for gamely winning three games in three nights to capture the automatic bid. Hope's veteran presence showed tonight and Calvin's inexperience bit the Knights at some key moments. It was unfortunate that both Egekeze and Ressler struggled to score tonight, but credit Hope's stout defense for some of that. To our friends in Holland: Represent our conference well. See you next year.

I mentioned earlier that Hope had a tall order--winning 3 games in 48 hours. Consider the order filled. The Hope team I saw this week looked a lot more like the squad we expected to see starting in November. Of course, it helped that the Knights shot 5-26 from the floor the opening 20 minutes, and were still under 20% from the field well into the second half. But credit Hope for playing through the fatigue they must have felt and putting up a solid defensive game.
