Thanks - seems like whenever I post the list, we get more recruits within 12 hours - maybe I should post the list more often???

Updated above now includes these two

Fun fact, Illiana has been the largest feeder school to Calvin outside of Michigan, and is Mrs. Northb's alma mater.

Trine commit:

Drew Moore   6'4 G-F   Forest Hills Northern HS MI

I believe he started out at Olivet, then transferred to Grand Rapids CC where he was all-conference in '21-'22 and averaged 20 ppg, then to Calumet College of St Joseph's last year, but I can't confirm he ever played.  My best guess is he will have 2 years of eligibility, but that information isn't readily available.

Those of you in the Grand Rapids area probably know more about his comings and goings than I.

Looks like he's a junior academically and has sophomore eligibility. I believe he is the son of former Michigan and NFL tight end Jay Riemersma.

Please tell me it's April 1st.

Congrats, Thunder.

Always have to stay optimistic about my Brits-- here's to Albion having some tricks up their sleeves.

Josh Decker, formerly of Kalamazoo College, will transfer to Hope.

WOW!  Not often you see the leading scorer leave his team and move to another within conference.  Decker averaged 14.8pts, shot .424 from 3 (3.3 made 3FG) and .828 from the line, and had 2.8reb in 25 min/game last season.

At this point in my list I have 4 recruits and 1 transfer identified for Hope.  What's unique is it is 5 guards who are all either 6-4 or 6-5.

Suddenly, a little TOO often, I'd say.

Olivet has a grand total of one post-graduate program, and to no one's surprise it's the ubiquitous MBA. There are no other masters programs, nor is there a program that has a doctorate as the terminal degree.

Nor does it appear that Olivet is morphing into the Oxbridge model of multiple affiliated residential colleges, each with their own faculty and administrative divisions.

In other words, this is a branding move by Olivet, and nothing more. It will still very much remain a liberal-arts college (that happens to have an MBA appendage, of course).

Nothing wrong with that. There's no such thing as Name Police in American higher education. You can call your school whatever you want to call your school. Just setting the record straight, that's all.

I keep hearing "University" is important in recruiting foreign students since so much of the world operates on the British system where a lot of high schools are named 'college.'
