Vince Overway (Holland Christian / Trinity Christian College) will play a graduate year at Calvin with younger brother Jalen.

Calvin is going to field an impressive JV team would you say, KnightSlappy, with its large recruiting class (assuming transfers are guaranteed varsity)

My expectation is maybe two of the true freshman end up on varsity.

Albion's schedule is now posted on their site - long trip out west for them:

https://gobrits.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule

Asbury is in their final provisional year so games against them will count in the NCAA criteria.

K'Zoo twitter series introducing their 4 newcomers, include two previously unknown (at least here) recruits:

DJ Ferguson 6-1 G from Lansing Catholic, transferring from Heidelberg after 2 years (played in 19 games and avg 7.6 minutes last year)

Patrick Perez  6-5 G from Christian HS in San Diego CA.

Will post an updated list including these guys shortly

DJ's dad Desmond Ferguson was just enshrined the Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame last week, played and coached at Lansing Everett, attended Mizzou for a year before finishing at Detroit Mercy.  Had a cup of coffee in the NBA with the Blazers and played in some minor pro leagues.  Probably more well known now for being the founder of Moneyball Sportswear and runs the Moneyball Pro-Am every summer with current and former Spartans.

Great to see DJ get a chance to play in the MIAA, was hoping he'd go that route out of high school.

Adrian's De'Ovian Price has entered the transfer portal.

That's a blow for the Bulldogs.  Adrian was already losing Kendall Bellamy,  Obidiah James and Jonathan Duvall were introduced as Sr's on Sr day and Victory Sheffey who may be out of eligibility anyway sort of disappeared early Feb. and removed from the roster.   With Price potentially leaving that means replacing 3 of their top 4 scorers on an already offensively challenged team.

De'Ovion Price has landed at Marietta it appears.

Hope has added an exhibition game with Univ. of Chicago to its schedule.

November 3, 7pm at DeVos

Adrian has posted their schedule.  Loks like 13 non-con games (assuming the two tournaments listed are two games each), just not sure which 2 must be exhibitions:

Nov. 4 vs. Concordia (MI) is before the official start date, so that has to be exhibition I believe. Then one of Siena Heights, SVSU, or Grace.

Fans of MIAA Pool C hopefuls will hate this schedule. Probably not a lot of non-conference D3 wins here for the Bulldogs.

Looked at the schedules of the three bolded above.  Grace's schedule does not include Adrian, so I suspect that is either in error on the Adrian site, or it is an exhibition.  The other two have schedules that agree with Adrian's and do not indicate an exhibition.

OOF. Since OWP carries so much more weight than OOWP, you want the worst teams in your league to schedule super-easy in nonConf, to try and bag as many wins as possible.

Of course, the scheduling incentives of teams throughout a league are anything but aligned.
