Exhibition or scrimmage? There's several differences between the two.

Most D3 teams scrimmage other D3 teams. Exhibitions are another matter entirely.

I just checked Trine's schedule again just now and the exhibition game against Manchester has been removed.  I am now wondering if it is just a scimmage instead of a true exhibition game.  I'm sure earlier in the week it was listed on the schedule as an exhibition game as it had the # next to the game as exhibition.

Albion's roster:

https://gobrits.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/2023-24

Many new names—looking forward to seeing them play!
BJ Hunter played at Lake Michigan College last year  15.5 ppg

Jaylin Flaniken played at Bay College avg 10.6 ppg, killed it academically.

I would think the Fr. Germany will play a bit, I've seen Burnett, Roberts and Spybrook of the Freshmen, and a couple seem in the mix but probably not big minutes this year.

Albion lost its top 4 scorers from a year ago, but return the next 8 of 9.    Your PG has to be the transfer Hunter I would think

I don't know if anyone noticed but Albion could end up playing Cal Tech twice.   Once at U of Chicago tournament and once in Pasadena

Looking at some various team rosters, I found that Noah Hedrick (did not play last season, but played for Hope the previous 2 seasons) is now on the roster at Wheaton (IL).

Hello All,

While I will be following from afar WashU's football efforts against North Central, it won't be idle following.

I will be in the midst of my Rett Gets Rocked 2023 24-hour ultramarathon at WashU to raise awareness of Rett syndrome and research funds to find a cure.  I'm starting around 8:00 Friday night (after I provide the call for the WashU-Saint Louis U. swimming and diving meet), and ending at 8:00 Saturday night.

Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by a gene mutation on the X chromosome.  It lays in the weeds until a child is between 6-18 months old, just when a child is learning to walk and talk.  Rett is like Lucy in the Peanuts comic strip when she pulls the ball away from Charlie Brown, as he tries to kick it.  Unlike Charlie Brown...when Rett pulls the ball away from children, they don't get a chance to get up and try again.  Children go into severe neurological regression; many end up in wheelchairs and most lose the ability to talk and to do sign language.  Those with Rett also are prone to seizures, extreme nerve pain, GI issues, breathing abnormalities, and eating difficulties that can all be life-threatening.

Researchers are relentless, providing hope on two fronts.  Back in March of this year, Daybue became the first FDA-approved drug to target the effects of Rett syndrome.  Daybue helps blunt some of the seizures and has helped improve some vocal and gross motor skills.  Gene replacement therapy clinical trials in two North American locations have helped one patient sit up independently for the first time in a decade, and to grasp objects for the first time since infancy.

It is this momentum of hope and progress that I am trying to assist and perpetuate.

The families of children who have Rett and fight a tough fight every day, will be very grateful for your help.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and enjoy the games this weekend!

And I see Calvin also has a JV roster posted - including most of the recruits we knew about / were in our list that are not on the Varisty roster:

Calvin's roster is up:

Just a few newbies to complement last year's roster for the 23-24 Knights.
A pair of transfers in Trip Riemersma and Vince Overway along with a pair of true freshman cracking the varsity, Jordan Scott and Sam Lewis (although Lewis also appears on the JV roster, so he's likely to see very limited floor time on the varsity).
All of last year's fab freshman are back, along with redshirt Brady Ewing and Michael Morris, who was out with an injury most of last year.
I have a hunch Calvin fans are eager to see how Coach Sall melds this group into a top-tier squad.

Am I correct that Coach Sall has 3 of his offspring playing for the Knights this year with Quinton on JV, and Lydia & Hannah playing for Coach Christner?  Pretty sure from his bio I have that right - just not sure if they are triplets or not.

Correct! Add in older sister Delaney and that's four enrolled at the same time!
