From reading box scores today I see two former Trine commits are now at other colleges:  Isaac Richardson, a 2023 commit transfered to Baldwin Wallace this year and started the game today and had 3 points.  Preston Malpass, a 2024 commit, decommitted and is now at Alma and scored 10 points today off the bench.  There are probably others.

An interesting experience going from Trine's basketball facility to Albion's on the same day. IYKYK.

Absolutely!  Very different experiences!

The MTI Center is a spacious, modern facility.  I think it's very tasteful-- accommodating large crowds of fans and having all of the extra amenities you'd want in a gym built in 2018.

Kresge Gymnasium is an iconic, historic facility.  Even relatively small crowds can generate an exciting, electric atmosphere.  It has proven to be an intimidating venue for visiting teams, sometimes unexpectedly.

Hope travels home with smiles tonight after two road wins, including today's 68 to 63 victory over Wittenburg--a game played without injured starters Marcus wourman and Parkey Hovey, who hopefully will soon return (along with Ethan Crabtree and Carson Sanders, who have also been in street clothes).

Frosh Brad Miller's breakout game (24 points including 6 of 7 3-pointers) led the way, supported by Josh Decker's 17 point (4 of 5 3-pointers).

Gabe Quillan, averaging 18 ppg, has picked up where he left off last year--with such improved shooting and footwork since his first year.

Next weekend they face tougher challenges: #12 St. Johns and perennial power Marietta, both undefeated.

WOW - like someone from Stevens Point should ever be questioning anything about a coach

I like to annoy my son just to get a reaction out of him. My son likes to annoy his mother because he knows she'll react. My son never tries to annoy me because he knows I'll ignore him. Take lessons from my family. LOL

I kind of assume Sall being a decorated veteran of Michigan Winters knows to get the heated seats in his vehicle for when the weather turns.

So yes, his bum is probably warm most mornings.

Trine 89 Anderson 84

That is a pretty good Anderson team, I came away very impressed.  After watching parts of Anderson's games this year I knew that the Ravens style of play would give us trouble.  They don't pound it inside, it's 5 man out, dribble drive, get picked up by a double team and either kick to the wing for a 3 or dump it off at the block for a layup.  They Ravens can shoot it.  Tate Ivanyo should be getting more national recognition, he's very good.  I can remember watching him as a Freshman when they played up here and thought he'll be a good one.  Trine offensively was pretty decent, especially in the first half.  I think both defenses played better in the second half as the scoring pace slowed down somewhat.  First half had lots of lead changes.  We led for much of the second half, had the lead up to 12 a few times, but Anderson always shot themselves back in the game.  It was a 2 point game with 30 seconds to go, Drew Moore with a made jumper in the lane with an and 1 with around 10 seconds on the clock.  Moore was easily our player of the game, but got contributions from most everyone who played.  Logan Gard got his first meaningful minutes in the rotation and played well.  The Ravens were physical with Manny in the paint, they would foul to prevent being dunked on, which was smart as Manny struggled at the line tonight.  We got Elmhurst on Saturday, will be another stiff test.

Trine: Moore 25, Cusack 13, Smylie 12, Tucker 11, Megnanglo 10
Anderson: Ivanyo 23, Swan 16, Williams 13, Davidson 11

Unfortunately we will not be able to attend this weekend, so I'll miss then chance to get one - although I don't expect you have them in Orange & Blue anyway.  ;D  I am really looking forward to watching as many of these games online as possible - great matchups!!
