Quote from: Happy Calvin Guy on March 10, 2025, 03:40:46 PMFun season. 20 game win streak, 14-0 in MIAA, MIAA tourney champs, 3-0 sweep vs Hope, overall enjoyable team to root for. A too-soon exit from NCAA tourney but still a memorable season in many ways.

Regarding prior post about Quillan, terrific career. My (least) favorite memory is the 7 threes he hit in Grand Rapids in the 2024 MIAA tournament championship game.

Any news about 2025 incoming freshman, or transfers in/out?

That was actually in the semi-final @ Trine in 2024 - part of a great weekend in Angola for Hope.

FDF, thanks for the corrections, I must have blocked out the details of the bad memories. I just know the memory was triggered in a painful way this past weekend when Wisc Lutheran's big man hit four threes against us.

Thanks also for the list of recruits and your work to compile it. It seems a little shorter than usual. Are recruits still deciding up until the normal college decision day of May 1? Or is there just less info out there?

I just took a look at my first post of recruits a year ago (on March 14, 2024) and there were coincidentally the exact same number of guys listed then as now - 14.  The total we knew prior to school starting this past fall was 60, so lots of "commitments" likely still coming.

Vincent Salmon 6-8 C Brighton will attend Albion  (some say 6-9)

Missed a good chunk of his Sr season to a foot injury.  Was top 100 pre-season by the Detroit Free Press.

I've watch East Lansing a couple times the last 2 weeks and came away very confident Albion committ Cam Essell will contribute to their program right away.   But I am also pretty terrible at predicting such things. <shrugs>

Its always hard when a guy is pretty good but plays on such a talented team, EL has 1 D1 committ, a future D1 committ, both sons of MSU Spartans and 2 college football guys and probably a couple other future college bballers.  But Cam just seems to settle them sometimes, strong Luka Ressler type vibes with him.
