Calvin 74 Kalamazoo 65--Final

Veldhouse another clutch 2, 4 FT's to finish it out

realist

Kalamazoo deserves alot of credit.  They played a heck of a game, and RP did a great job coaching, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.  A bounce here or there, and things might have turned out differently.

Realist hit the nail on the head...good game, just a bit short for the Hornets.

Veldhouse is awesome, even on radio.

Just noticed that B-W lost to Capital.  If the tournaments go like last year there are going to be some more surprises before the NCAA selection Comm. meets.

Yep, that and more can be found on our lovely front page, brought to you by D3hoops.com and the fact that the kids are mostly entertaining themselves this afternoon. :)

Well the precedent is when CMU loses and you lose, you drop behind them even if you have a better record.

Woo is going down as well

Woo--losing and will lose
Witt--lost on Wed
Bw--lost today
CMU--lost last night
Calvin--won twice
Hope won 1 with ? ? tonight

Working out good for the MIAA tonight.........and Hope rediculous bubble situation.

Remember, as far as the NCAA is concerned, Hope has the day off today.

And Wooster did indeed lose, 86-83 at Ohio Wesleyan.   :(

Calvin wins a closer game than many would have predicted.  Good news for the Knights is that they were in control of the lead the whole game, just couldnt pull away.  Although picked to finish last in the MIAA, Kzoo put together a nice season with hard work on both ends of the floor.  I thought they did a nice job of keeping the ball moving on offense.  Calvin just had too many superior players.  Congratulations to the Knights on the undisputed MIAA regular season championship.  A well earned surprise.

Absolutely.  The final score did not indicate the closeness of the game.  Kalamazoo played very well, and could make life interesting in the MIAA Tournament.

Sac:  Most of us agree with you on the QoWI situation.  It will be interesting to see the results after the selection comm. plays with these numbers.

The MIAA website says Alma beat Adrian 71-63

This puts Olivet at Calvin next Wed regardless of what the Comets do tonight.  I think.  ???  I don't know an Olivet win could really mess things up since Alma, Adr, and Oli would all be tied with 3 wins each.   I haven't researched that little tie-breaker

Alma's win means the MIAA will have to pull out that coin and give it good shine for the 6 and 7 seed if Olivet loses.

It also means Alma gets 10 wins for the first time in a very long time.

SAC,
Can you please try and explain what all these teams losing today means for the NCAA's...ect? Who lost and what were they ranked. THANKS!

GO HOPE!
