Two weeks ago the Hope fans just wanted to talk about the dinner reservations they were making in Salem.  Don't forget to cancel those hotel reservations so you don't get charged!

Witt's about to win.

That should be some consolation to the Hope fans!

Sac,

One thing I can't understand? You are such a loyal Hope fan, why didn't you drive down to the women's game in DePauw? I know I would have if that was Calvin's situation. Were they sold out?

sac

Irishmoves-----please look into Hope's record vs the Ohio schools over the last decade..........you won't find many losses.  In fact this was Hope's first loss to an Ohio school since 1996 I believe, for sure in the tournament.

Shareef---Calvin could handle Witt, unless they shoot like Hope did, Witt is a good but not great team.  But they aren't head and shoulders better than anyone I've seen this year.  They play good D so every game will be close.

knightmoves,
I am basing things on an entire season not just one game. Voison was second team all-MIAA. So ya I consider that a reliable big man. He had a lot on his plate lst night with Witt. It's obviously going to be hard when they start 6'8 and 6'9. And my point was he really doesn't have a whole lot of help on the inside and I was asking if Calvin would have match up better.

I say this with all due respect to the young man who's been a big part of this team for the last two years.........but if I hadn't been at the game and seen him on the floor with my own eyes I would have thought he wasn't there.  Defensively he was ok, but geez man 6-9 235 the biggest body on the floor and have zero points and zero rebounds. ???

I'm staying with my brother in Columbus, basketball isn't my whole life as you might suspect from reading this board.  I was going to be down here this weekend anyway, Hope playing down the road in Springfield was a bonus.

This stuff Irish Moves is pulling is something that really bothers me.  It's not what he says, it's that he says it at all.  If Hope had won yesterday, would anyone be clogging up the NCAC board with "Michigan Rules, Ohio Sucks" and "Michigan athletes are always more talented, play harder, and outwork Ohio athletes," or "Michigan coaches always outcoach Ohio coaches?"  I don't think so, maybe I'm being naive, but I would certainly never say that.  Why not be happy that your team won and leave it at that?

BTW...congrats to Witt on their first trip to Salem in more than a decade, you've earned it.

It was a cool 42 with a chilly rain in the greater Columbus area, not sure what happened to that mid 60's they were talking earlier in the week.  Golf will have to wait a few more weeks for me I guess.............I'm a little jealous bulldogalum

Don't worry, Sac, you'll get out on the links soon enough.  Shame the weather didn't cooperate for you today. :-[

Hey.... I was supporting Hope?  :-\  :P

I am still going, and will have fun as usual, though I'm sorta bummed that I won't get to see my predicted championship game of Hope vs Lawrence.  :'(
