I've seen some of the banter about the all region team but I don't think anyone has commented on the selection of Carnegie Mellon's Tony Wingen for region coach of the year.  He obviously did a good job with a win over DI Princeton but I dont think I could ever be convinced that anyone outcoached Kevin Vande Streek this year.  Maybe I'm biased but what they did this year compared to what I was expecting was amazing.

I will never be the first to bring up ... I give my two cents on situations when the time is right.

What's the right time to share something on a board?  I heard something fairly interesting about an adminstration shuffle going on in the MIAA.  It's certian ... does one share it?  Is it already on the board?  This board's going so fast it's hard to keep up.

Some Hope posters have made certain to bring a women's basketball issue to this site (strength in numbers, possibly ... or maybe misery loves company), so thought you should be made aware of the following:

I have posted a response ... on the MIAA women's site ... to the many Hope fans' statements about the DePauw crowds at last week's sectional. Another DePauw supporter recently spoke there, too. (And was ridiculed for having done so.) So, for those interested in the view from a DePauw set of eyes, you might want to take a gander. I just couldn't sit back any longer.

Denver Knight, I think it's up to you. If KVS knows and the player is openly telling people this, I think your fine for sure. I personally don't want to break anything first, because of people I know and how things might effect them. In West Michigan, it's kind of sticky with the schools going after the same kids. Usually things are up on here a day or two before they are made public. I guess the reason I don't want to say anything until it is said first is that I have a responsiblity to keep my mouth shut on certain issues.  like recruitng. If I opened it, I would probably not receive this info any more. I am not sure how other people do it. Most posters are pretty classy so I would assume they take the coaches and players into account when given information.

And please just be straightforward about it--there's not much worse than somebody (usually a new, now-u-seem-em/now-u-don't poster) coming to the board and trying to be coy about what information they just heard, but won't tell us just yet.  If ya got the info and it is kosher to disclose it, do it.  If not, then hold your keyboard until you can tell us all about it.

Sorry, my attention has been focused on the Denver Christian class of 2016.  Hopefully, we'll have a 6'4" shooting guard headed Calvin's way.  Right now, we're just hoping he gets his two front teeth for his birthday. 

Is this recruit a done deal or is it too early to call?  Is growth hormone therapy a viable option?    Big shooting guards are great but a dominating post player is even better.

Heard anything about transfers coming next year?? that you feel like sharing with the world?

Not sure that J. Veenstra has made any firm plans.  He has been over shadowed on K Christian by Zwiers, and it seems they really count on the 3 even from their front line.  If one were to bet, it might be a safe bet that Calvin has a good shot at getting him.  His father turned down scholarships coming out of Unity Christian in 73, and I recall similar rumors regarding Jeremy.
As for Hope no reason to think that GVW isn't going to bring in more kids than he can possibly play.

Pretty reliable source.  He spoke at Calvin's commencement last year and it's not George W. Bush.  

If your source has over 750 H.S. wins, I think he would be considered reliable

Calvin played several games over the Christmas break in Denver.  So this young man has some idea what he is getting into.
