I wonder how will the tools construe this as negative karma inducing?

No negatives here -- thanks for the link!  I was just wondering if Josh was going to continue at Lakeland, having just read about their new head coach.  Sounds like a great step for him.  Josh, if you're reading, my family and I wish you all the best! :)

Now, the derrogatory term "tools" might earn you some negativity...

FDF,  is there a link where I could find that list of attendance stats?  I just wondered where Wooster fell in the mix.  According to the NCAC site, they averaged 1716 for the season which, I would guess would put them in the top 5?  I tried the NCAA site and could only find DI attendance figures.

According to the NCAA, Woo averaged 1666, and was 4th in the nation.  Here is the link

http://www.ncaa.org/stats/m_basketball/attendance/2006_basketball_attend.pdf

Or you could have looked at D3hoops.com, where our story listed the Top 10 (and still does).

Pat - maybe it's my old bifocaled eyes, but I can't find the story.  Is it no longer posted, or am I really just that blind?

It's in Notables. It was one of the top two stories for a time but now it's the No. 3 story and is no longer linked on the front page.

It expired off the front page this morning when the St. Mary's hiring came in.

No kidding, seems we have a negative karma fairy out there.

Oh yeah, I want the  karma back I lost a couple years ago about commments I made about JCI.

I told you so!

It will probably be difficult to get a doctors appointment in Holland the coming weeks........alot of people have severe rectal burns from all the smoke being blown up their hind ends.

No boys Hope schedule yet?

I know, what's the deal?  I'm trying to plan a trip in December, and wondering if I need vacation days for Hope road trips as well.  Seems their schedule doesn't usually go up until mid-June, though, IIRC... :-\

I like the part where he says, "It has been a career goal of mine to coach at the Division II level." I wasn't aware that D2 was a career goal for anyone. The more I follow NCAA sports, the more D2 seems to me to be the athletic equivalent of limbo -- whether you think that D3 is heaven and D1 is hell, or the other way around.

Obviously the RCA/CRC thing helps Hope and Calvin out...

Perhaps by that logic, Albion should not get a new gym, but a new religious affiliation?  ???

I recommend reading "The World is Flat".  Lots of incentive for young people to get a broad-based MIAA education.  None of us should assume we or our kids are gonna be lifers at any employer/job.

Yeah... maybe!  ;)  But I meant that West MI is chock full of the RCA/CRC folks, so following "our" basketball teams and filling our respective arenas seems easier because of us... And as SAC said, we tend to stick around more than the Albion alum do.

Mr. Ypsi

Rough day for Michigan pro sports.  The Pistons get bounced from the playoffs convincingly and the Tigers, up 2-1 after 8, lose their 5th of the last 6.  Though the Tigers are STILL leading all of baseball - haven't attempted to confirm it, but I would imagine this is the latest in a season they could say that since 1987.

Of course, the Red Wings finished atop the NHL and the Pistons finished atop the NBA - maybe winning the regular season ain't all it's cracked up to be!  Not that I think the Pussycats will finish #1, or even necessarily make the playoffs, but I HAVE joined the bandwagon to the extent that I think they will have meaningful games in August, even September, for the first time since my older son (who graduates high school in 4 days) was born! ;D

Mr Ypsi  -  I hope said graduating son is planning on attending one of the fine MIAA schools and not one of those "BIG" Michigan schools!!!!   congrats
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Mr. Ypsi

He'll at least start his college at EMU.  (I suspect a large part of the reason is that he is very much in love, and she'll still be at Ypsi Hi!)

Mr. Ypsi:

Might his decision not also have something to do with dad's ties to the Big "E"? ;D  Anyway, and seriously, congratulations on your son's graduation - all best wishes to him in the future.  A wonderful milestone for him, you and family.  I hope you all have a great graduation day.
