Just noticed a little quirck in Albion's schedule

December 8 vs Finlandia.........at St. Ignace High School.  Thats about half way for both schools.

I chuckle a little because this happens with High School playoffs frequently when they pair teams from the UP and LP.

Love those late December games with North Central and Illinois Wesleyan.  Should tell a lot about the Britons this year.

Question:  Is Hope going to have their shorts down to their ankles again this season?

Question:   are Calvin fans going to spend more time nit picking everything and anything about their rival or will they actually spend posting time on their own team and players this year?

woo there, I didn't know you would get so offended and take it serious.  It was intended to be a little joke.  I guess someone got cranky over the summer.

Were talking about shorts here.  It's not like I brought up, ummm, lets say some BS charging call.

Fine, then.

Will Calvin's team and players have to be on the court with a team that has shorts down to their ankles?

Is that better?

Better yet northb:

So what does everyone think of the growing length of "short" that current basketball teams are sporting? Never thought there could be a day when my favorite team was playing basketball in pants! (Maybe we should start a poll... give us all something to do for a few weeks.)

The answer to your question is probably yes... And I'm sure the "other" team will not only be from Holland.

And 68/B, God forbid if your boys come out this year with shorts that are even a fraction of an inch longer! As trends have gone, even the boys in Maroon don't wear the short shorts that ScotsFan so kindly describes above.

These are "clam diggers" I found on the web... I'd never want to see Hope players in these!

Why not? If Hope's players look like that I might take in some their games when the Dutch aren't even playing Calvin.  ;)

T-Minus 13 days until some (slightly more) substantial chatter on this site.  Yeesh.

As long as it was the lady Dutch that looked like that!

Question:

I assume the Jan 13th game is the one that carries the feed nationally... correct? I need to get crackin' on putting a gathering together. That only gives me 3 months to find local alumni...

I assume that your assumption is correct - is that ambiguous enough?

In the past, the nationally televised game has always been on Saturday, so I think our assumptions are pretty safe.

Just found out a sad note from the Hope camp:

Four-year student assistant Mike Aldrich's father died in a car accident Sunday (funeral Thursday in Lansing). Whenever I talk to the coaches/players, they speak of Mike as a brother and of how much he means to the team. I'm sure the entire Aldrich family would appreciate any thoughts/prayers you could pass along.

Thanks for letting us all know.  Mike is a true leader working with the team, and I'm sure this loss will affect them all.  Our prayers will be with him and his family.
