"Peak" is a marketing term to convince people to rush up North before its actually peak.  That I'm convinced of.

Didn't make it to the UP for Fall  this year so I can't speak for the color North of the Bridge, but it wasn't all that great around Gaylord, one of our many usual color hot spots.  It was nice, but I've seen it much, much better and vibrant.  We got a ton of rain last weekend and it just kills color.

I still think it will be good around Traverse City, Cadillac after a nice long dry, sunny week with cool nights.

5 PERFECT innings by Bonderman - against the top offensive team in MLB?!  What's up with that?!  Typically classy move by Leyland to remove Jeremy with one out in the ninth so he could get the individual standing O, not just share it with the team.

But why Walker rather than Zumaya or Jones?  I'm greedy - I wanted 8-1 over the 'Damn Yankees', not 8-3! ;D

They are:

  800 posts - All-conference
1000 posts - All-Region
2000 Posts - All-American

so you got a ways to go to the next level

Just hoping to get the starting nod this fall and winter. Im sure Coach Passage and the boys will give me lots of great stuff to talk about. Sunday can't come any sooner.   Let's roll out the balls and get on the hardwood.

Thank god we have the Tigers. Let's hope they can get to the Classic so we Michiganders can roll right into the Pistons season and completely forget that we have a professional football team in this state.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

I don't know if anyone noticed that during the intro to tonight's LCS game they started by showing an exuberant Tiger fan mugging for the camera and pointing to the English "D" on his baseball cap. He sure looked an awful lot like our beloved sac. Scott, are you in Oakland?

sac

Nope I'm not in Oakland.  But,

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  ;D

Mr. Ypsi

Haven't seen it in the stories yet - anyone know if anyone has EVER won the first two games on the road and not won the series?

Lookin' awfully good for the 2003 'official' national joke!! ;D

Leyland for President! ;)

Pat Coleman

You might look in Oakland stories -- they may be printing teams who lost the first two at home and still won the series.

I feel fairly certain it's happened -- I think the 1996 Yankees did it in the World Series against the Braves, for example.
