Kool isn't D I material.  He's an extraordinary player with serious heart but he's probably a little too small.  Playing at Western probably won't get him very far either.  I see him as a Joel Holstege type of player.  He would have thrived at a local DIII school!  I suppose there's still a chance.

Holstege was a very fine D3 player but I'm sorry, there's just no comparison between him and David Kool. Mr. Basketball will do quite well in the MAC.

I saw Kool play in Lansing a couple years ago when his team won and he put up those incredible numbers.  He'd be alright off the bench at a D 1 school but he's just too small.  His strength is his desire to win.  He'll probably do fine at Western but he won't gain the "star quality" he would at a local D 3 school

Star quality? D3 school? Local? Here is to Hope's D1 transfer train striking again with Kool!
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

Every time I hear someone say a kids too small to play D1........I think about  Jay Burson at Ohio State.

If Mr Basketball 1983 (a/k/a "Fat Boy" to a certain head coach of the Chicago Bulls) can start at the U of M, then Mr Basketball 2006 can do more than "be alright off the bench" at WMU.

Koetsier got a lot bigger this year it looks like all-around.  I bet he plays a 4.

NBA STARS that are smaller than Kool (6'3" 208lbs.):

Chauncey Billups 6'3" 202
Allen Iverson   6'0" 165
Tony Parker 6'2" 180
Kirk Hinrich 6'3" 190

I have never actually seen Kool play, but I really don't think size should be your basis for making it or not at just about any level.

You oughta think 5'5" (actually closer to 5'3" according to several of his instructors) Earl Boykins of EMU and now the NBA.

Even to me, that's small! ;D

Welcome to this board bballmom; glad to have you aboard. I see that you just made your first post and some joker already gave you negative karma. I quickly remedied that situation so you're back to even.

I appreciate that.  By the way, I'll be rooting for the Knights, of course.
