GK:  I wonder where HC got the idea we even wanted him back?   :)

We are all about redemption.  If he sees the light (at the NW corner of the East Beltline and Burton), we will take him back.  He can't sit behind the bench, but we will take him back.

Wouldn't shutting out a repentant person from a front row seat relegate him to second class citizenship? I thought we reformers eschewed the Catholic sacrament of penance? :o ;)

OK:  Good point, but just because one repents shouldn't guarantee them a choice seat at the expense of those who never strayed.  ;D
I have a question on this whole quality of win concept.  At this point Hopes only L's are to CCIW schools.   If Hope's qwi is negatively impacted because of a weak MIAA doesn't this also diminish the wins of all those schols who beat MIAA schools in pre-conference action?

Mr. Ypsi

realist,

If QOWI were a true strength-of-schedule measure that would be true, but it isn't.  It only counts the opponent's in-region winning percentage, without concern for whether that reflects vanquishing top teams or 'little sisters of the poor'.  Since Hope has a .667+ in-region winning percentage, Wheaton still receives maximum QOWI points (Carthage is NOT in-region, so their win simply doesn't exist for QOWI purposes).

As far as other teams playing other MIAA schools, it is team-by-team - the overall MIAA performance is irrelevant.

Of course, if the first are last and the last are first, then putting me in a front row seat would be relegating me to second class status. Then again, I like the idea of penance (more heresy!)

But in any case, it's a moot point. The way toward eternal bliss is westward, more between Fairbanks and Lincoln. Maybe one man's scales are another's lenses.

I suppose it was hubris to assume you would want me back; but I took it to be a point of doctrine for all you infra- and supralapsarians. In any case, I don't see repentance in the cards. Basketball through the eyes of Hope rather than through the eyes of faith.  ;D

So far today it looks like Hope is rolling over Alma (who would have guessed it?). 74-35 w/ 9:14 left
Calvin and Albion are battling it out 63-59 Albion w/ 8:00 in the game.
K over Olivet 51-49 w/ 7:25 in the game...

Anyone surprised at how close the Calvin game is again? I think we'll see the same outcome we did the other day at Olivet...

Zak Silas decided to come to play today but he just fouled out.  I'm expecting the Knights to finish this game like they ended the OC game.

Hope women are clawing their way back from a 41-26 half time score... Currently 55-50 Albion w/ 9:28
