Moving on, has every MIAA team played every team at least once by now?

Wednesday's games will complete the 1st leg of the round-robin schedule.  We'll begin anew Saturday.

We apologize for our exhuberance for our team and our players, we didn't realize you weren't suppose to be excited for your team.........

I apologize for the Orange nation...........
No, no excitement allowed.... EVER. Basketball is not about having fun, it's about winning and making the other team cry and whimper!!! ;D

Incidentally, I thought I was from the orange nation.  :P

To beat 3State all a team needs to do is guard the 3ball from Benford and Brookins.  Both can knock 'em down.

DVS did have a defender on him. It was actually the right play basketball-wise

??? You can't be serious--not if we're looking at the same youtube video.

How can Rhode Island be neither a road nor an island?

BDA:  Rhodes, is on an island in the Agean/Med. sea, and it is Greek.  Let me be the first to say it.  :D   The spot (state of Rhode Island) reminded some sailor that had a pint or two too many (is that really possible?) of Greece. ;D

Upon closer inspection of the video I'll concede it is contestable. There is a defender off his right hip, and it may have made a straight layup difficult. I suppose if he could have blocked the layup he could have as easily blocked the pass, but on the other hand DVS does leave the ground earlier and at a different angle than he otherwise might have. In any case, it still seems to me to have been a smart play given the position of the defense. So, yes, I am a least halfway serious. I never joke - my sense of humor is something I lost in the conversion process.

I have to say, this moving on to a new topic thread is making me laugh. Northb would be getting serious karma from me were it in my power.

I think it must be the same reason that makes us park on a driveway and drive on a parkway.

Rhode Island

The state's common name, Rhode Island, actually refers only to the largest island in Narragansett Bay, also known as Aquidneck Island, itself a part of the state. Some historians think that the name is derived from "Roodt Eylandt", old Dutch for "red island", given to the island by Dutch explorer Adriaen Block due to the red clay on the island's shore.[2] Other historians believe the name owes its origins to Italian explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, upon discovering nearby (present-day) Block Island named it Rhode Island because of its similarity in shape to the Greek island of Rhodes[3]. Later settlers, mistaking which island Verrazzano was referring to, gave the name to Aquidneck Island instead.

In 1664, the seal of the colony was adopted. It pictured an anchor and the word HOPE.

To my knowledge there are no MIAA basketball alumni from Rhode Island, but it seems they'd fit at Hope.

I have an idear, pass me a soder. :D ;D

Rhode Island was settled by Baptists (Roger Williams) fleeing the heavyhanded ways of a Calvinist colony. It seems unlikely they'd find their way to Hope. To my knowledge K-zoo is the only MIAA scholl founded by Baptists. That seems the logical choice.
