Hide the kids - unless you want them frightened.

Does this mascot wear wooden shoes to complete the outfit? :)

If he does, it will make my day.

If he doesn't wear wooden shoes I'd be devastated. I mean it would be missing the biggest part of the whole outfit!
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

By his expression, I'd have guessed wooden boxers.

For those of us who weren't around in '95: what happened?

sac - don't read this - it will bring back the nightmares    ;)

In 94-95, Hope went undefeated through the regular season (26-0), only to lose to Bald Wally in the first round of the NCAA.

That must've sucked.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Now that is a mascot.

Didn't Calvin bring out a mascot a few years back.  It seems to have disappeared as of late.

As for most improved I agree on Hope's Jager even thougg his is a second stringer.  He has played outstanding in each game I have seen and I used to cringe every time he took the court.

By the way, thanks for the info on earlier Hope as a 1999 transplant I am pretty unaware of anything before that year.

As for inside defense I always find it interesting that the best shot blocker on the Hope team (besides Cramer when he is on) is the second from the last guy on the bench.  Holt I think.  Instead GVW has chosen to run with a team in which 9 of the 10 players are real 3 point shooting threats.

Yeah they did have one.  It looked more like a suasage than a knight, though.  Word is is that they might be getting a new one in the next year!

GK68:  If the new Calvin mascot isn't in the masterplan we will have to read all the "mascot envy" charges for  awhile. :D
Calvin gets it back to 1 point, but they shouldn't really find it necessary to spot a team 10 or 11 points just to get fired up.

Looks like Kotsier is getting some good amount of playing time and is playing well so far.  Good for him.

HALFTIME
30-29 Calvin up by one point.

You know calvin, if hope has it then Calvin will be soon to follow.  (exceptions being football and cheerleading because they are in some way "unGodly".
