According to those that I have talked to at Calvin, they want to wait a while to cancel the game because it is a 730 start and a lot of the snow grand rapids is getting right now could be cleared up by mid afternoon.  There is still the possibility though if the snow doesn't let up at all that the game will still be cancelled.  I think this has to be tough on Adrian because they would have to be getting ready to leave in the next hour or two and then get half way to calvin and might have to turn around and drive back.  But lets just hope that doesn't happen and we can still see a good game tonight.

So, let me get this straight, if I am satisfied with a 99-50 win, as opposed to a 100-50 win, I am guilty of not supporting my team? 100 is only one point more achievable than 99. A stupid free throw. That's not human nature. That's ridiculous.

Who said anything about you not supporting your team?  Don't put words into my, uh post.  And you're right, it's just one more point - so why all the fuss - on either side?

As I posted earlier, the crowd cheering for breaking the 100 point mark happens 100% of the time (in my experience) - the only exception might be in a very close game.  If it's true that it happens 100% of the time(or nearly that high), I think it's pretty safe to assume that we can say it's human nature - unless of course all those potentially millions of basketball fans who ever cheered for a 100th point are in fact stupid.

Hope/Albion is indeed cancelled.  The game will be played Monday night at 7:30 with jayvee before.  The jayvees were scheduled to play Calvin on Monday night, but that will now be cancelled.

For what it is worth, other Hope sports have varied on cancelling today.  Non-league tennis has cancelled, track left early today for Wisconsin and appear to be on as scheduled.  Perhaps Sac can give a report on weather conditions further east cuz it is brutal in Holland!

Sac's in Ohio, where the weather is beautiful.

No doubt tippin' a few at the Olde Jael. Hope you're buying for sac, David. ;)

Sorry, but given that they have already cancelled the women's game at Calvin, and US131 is closed in several places with multi-car pile ups, and the wind is supposed to pick up, this smells of a "let's get an advantage on Hope" motive (OK, maybe it's a stretch, but think about it).  How about a little consideration for the Adrian team and their safety.

I just got a phone message that the Adrian-Calvin game has been postponed to Monday as well.  I'm calling to confirm...

Alright; if the Knights get the score to 99 they promise to run out the clock. ::)

Seems like a little Orange and Blue tint there, FDF, give them some grace...

Oh no. Two more days without any games to talk about. I can't live like this. At least next week will be exciting. But in an effort for all things Orange and Blue to win. GO BEARS!!!
