Straight from Tom Renner  ie: if Tri-State wins the men's basketball tournament.

Thank you for your inquiry.

By rule, the regular season champion would be the automatic qualifier.

Interesting that Hope did a ceremony honoring seniors before the tourney game rather than at the last regular season game. Anyone know if there was a reason for this?

My understanding was it was because the last home game was 2 weeks before the end of the season........and they knew they'd be at home tonight.

unusual.

First, I didn't realize Cramer had been taking the tips. Pretty amazing he is taking and winning tips at 6'3'.
Second, they said its not a full house tonight. I always remember it being tough to get students out to the first round MIAA tourney game.  ???

Yeah, MIAA tournament games never draw well, even the finals are rarely complete sellouts

Hope 6 Alma 6   15:50

Calvin 22 Olivet 6----Olivet hasn't scored in FOREVER

Adrian 18 Albion 11  11:00

Calvin on an 18-0 run, OC hasn't scored in 6 and a half minutes.  Tough to keep pace when you shoot 13.3%.

25-6 with 7:28 until halftime

I think we can put this game in the "over" column. Great start by Calvin.

13% shooting for Olivet, only 2 3's thus far

They're not getting second chances either, Calvin leading on the boards 24-7

edit: further updates/discussion on newly created miaa tournament update thread

Josh has been shooting a lot more threes this year. In the game down at TSU he was 3-3. Thats the only thing I remember or want to remember from that game.
