I'm about ready to haul over to Holland, if we could, lets keep the in-game updates in the MIAA/OAC/NCAA in game updates board just to keep this clean.  Thanks.

I don't predict anything tonight, but a nice evening of MIAA basketball enjoyment.  The culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication comes down to 2 40 minute periods tonight.  Losers are done, winners play on.

Just out of curiosity, how does one post a picture in a post?  I have a *.gif file that I want to attach.  I thought I figured out how, but it doesn't show up when I do a preview.   ??? ???

The picture you want to include needs to live somewhere on the WWW and you need to point to its URL

If you have it saved to your computer, you do have the ability to put it out on a website. There are picture hosting sites like http://imageshack.us/ or http://tinypic.com/ which allow you to upload your picture and they will provide a web link which you can paste into the [/image] code to link the picture here.

Calvin 82-66. Tri-state led by as much as 11 on initially hot 3-point shooting, but they cooled off to 34% for the game.

Griffin led the Knights with 21 points. The knights outrebounded the thunder 46-36 after being behind by 2 in rebounds at the half.  11 boards for Meckes.

The knights still have a chance to dance. Meckes is shooting for four years in a row!

Unfortunately for Tri-State Benford was off terribly. Its clear there is something wrong with his wrist and while the first half was tight 3State couldn't compete once Calvin decided to try. I hope Calvin plays just as well tomorrow in the first half so Hope can jump to a huge lead. (I can dream!)

Took HC's advice and had a beverage made from hops. :D  All this technology really works, except Hope did not fire up the stat board in a timely manner.

DC:  I think you nailed it.  However, not sure Tri State had enough depth to go the entire 40 versus either Hope or Calvin at this point.  Calvin is something like 5 and 2 at the "Dick"; sweeeeeeeet :D

Calvin will be playing Hope for the 8th time in the last 2 seasons tomorrow night.  That's got to be some kind of record doesn't it?

Okay:  Round 4:   At this point I still think tomorrows game is going to be close.   I think Calvin will come out fired up, and Hope will go basket for basket.  No real need to linger on tonights games as all that counts happens tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

Absolutely, tomorrow should be a very tight and hard fought game. I don't see either team jumping out to an 18-4 like lead like last time (and if it starts to look that way I sure hope GVW calls a time out this time!!! last time he waited for the tv timeout and so much damage had been done by then it was trouble the rest of the game). No tv broadcasts tomorrow or internet streaming so I will rely on the radio streaming. Can't wait.

It'll be over ten minutes in.  Hope up by 13.

Don't mention the 18-4 start without a time-out to reset the defense after the opposing team scores four straight layups to start the game. It's too painful.

FDF, Andersdy, Sac - good to meet you all tonight.

Hope/Calvin IV. I was wondering also if there have ever been two seasons in a row where they've met 4 times each season. Thanks to Tri-state for keeping it close enough that Calvin still had starters on the floor at the end. Story of that game was that in the second half Calvin pounded it inside, and then once Tri-state collapsed their defense Griffen lit them up. Game over, even though Tri-state had a lot of good looks. Brookins needs to get in shape for next year. Calvin was just too big, too many weapons. Hope will obviously be a tougher matchup.

The Dutchmen had a lot of difficulty figuring out Adrian's defense (it looked to me that for awhile they were playing some kind of match-up zone that really confused Hope), and if they score only 3 points in the first five minutes tomorrow they could be in real trouble. That's two tournament games in a row where they've come out sluggish. The second half saw Hope come out with some serious intensity, and Adrian simply ran out of gas. I like to see Marcus get his dobber up like that.

I'm not going to complain about the officiating, except one kind of call I hate is when someone goes up with a shot, it gets blocked from behind, and the silly ref figures he has to call something, doesn't know what to call, so calls a jump ball - even though the defender never had any kind of control of the ball. Stupid.
