It seems like the NCAA committee was up to their old tricks again.  Sounds like they "occidentaly" paired Mississippi College with the wrong opponent.

I find it amazing that instead of either Calvin or Hope staying in the GL Region and moving one away, they put them both at the same site.  If they had kept one in the GL, there could be a potential Calvin vs. Hope championship game. ;)

Did we all wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning?
No. :D

Called in sick, again. My boss was like, "Wow... you sound TERRIBLE!" Heh. I'm pretty darn tired of being stuck indoors. :(

gk68:  Definitely protect the ball.  Also agree push it inside at every opportunity.  Force Aurora to play defense.  Go after them inside

That's exactly what Calvin did two years ago and you could tell Aurora hated playing that kind of ball.

The committee knew what they were doing. Aurora's concession stand fell a little short on projected revenue this year and asked the NCAA for some help. A pair of games featurning Calvin and Hope will certainly go a long ways towards making up any shortfall of funds--and if both advance to Saturday's final they'll really have hit the jackpot. ;)

Hey, at least the driving distance isn't a killer.  Although maybe that's a bad thing - ticket wise???

After their experience with Calvin two years ago, I've got to believe that Aurora is smart enough to clear the gym between games.

sac

So 6 hours after pairings are announced and no ticket info...........I'm guessing there's some hard core negotiations for a split session.

At least I'm hoping.

Hope plays at 6, Calvin at 8...doesn't sound like they will clear the gym between games

That would be a mistake >:(

Not just for our sake's.  They could make so much more money if they cleared it out.

If I remember right, Hope didn't clear out between games last year.

That's true - but Hope also seats 1500-1600 more than Aurora.  That's a big difference

Aurora's spring break begins this weekend.  ;D

Good news for those wanting tickets.

I just realized I will be on a plane to Germany during the first round games:( and so I won't even know a Hope-Calvin V occurred until the game is already over! Although I will miss the weekend I think this is the best thing for my psyche that and visiting the Hofbrauhaus.

Don't they have the internet over there?

Of course they do and of course I will go out of my way to check the scores but I think I may be safe and just wait til Sunday to check once the first two rounds are over. I think I'll go less crazy that way. ??? :P

Perhaps a wise idea... and it is certainly harder to get good cardiac care when you are so far away from home.

Mostly because LaCrosse and Wisc-Lutheran wouldn't bring enough to support a split gym argument in a 3,600 seat venue---------among some of the biggest in D3.

They did however clear the gym at Albion, with Calvin and Albion, but the gym is 500 smaller than Aurora.

It would be a smart thing to do.
