Griffin shot from last Saturday in-cased you weren't at the game or just want to see it again.

And no (poster not to be named), this isn't the same video you deleted and sent me a touchy message if that's what you're thinking it is.

Thank goodness I didn't have Augustana in the Final Four. Has the CCIW ever left the tourney before Friday of the opening weekend?

I don't know about specific days of the week, but the CCIW has been eliminated in the first round three times, including tonight:

1991: Ripon over Illinois Wesleyan
1999: Ripon over Illinois Wesleyan
2007: Carroll over Augustana

Interesting how each time it was the MWC rep that managed the feat.

It should be noted that Carthage lost its first game in the tourney back in 2000, but that was a second-round game after drawing a first-round bye. The team that beat them was the UW-Eau Claire team that lost to Calvin in the final. Of course, when the Blugolds played Carthage they still had a healthy Jon Wallenfelsz (17.5 ppg, 8.4 rpg). He posted a 22 and 7 against the Redmen, and blocked four shots as well. Wallenfelsz tore up his knee in the sectional final against UWSP and missed the Final Four.

Four one-and-dones in 32 years is not a bad record for a conference.

Is Q working the game? There will be no posse-ing if he's manning the airwaves. If not, he's welcome to sit in "Switzerland" with Old School and I.
As Mr. Titan Q's personal secretary, I'll check, and get back to you. :P :D ;D ;) LOL...

Hey, you're the one who mentioned that he was going to the Aurora regional.

Oh, and I hate unicorns. :P

What about maaagical leopluradons? What about Candy Mountain?? ??? ;D

Among the many random girly things that are true about me, it is definitely true that I loved unicorns as a little girl. And I have many, many childhood playthings that attest to that fact. However none of the unicorns I had as a kid sounded high or lost their kidneys. :D

Q said he was going to the Aurora game on Hoopsville... that's how I knew. There are probably hundreds of people who know that he's going to be there... just like they know that Pat Cummings was in Rochester, NY in a hotel room during the show and that Jared picked Hope to win all the cookies in Salem (and Coach C shot him down)... and I'm pretty sure someone sort of picked Villa Julie to go to the Final Four too? :D I think the shows have gotten a lot better in the past year or so... the archived shows are worth downloading and listening to later.

Dunno what that is. I'll have to consult my eight-year-old niece.

I blame my hatred of unicorns on the Irish Rovers and their version of the Shel Silverstein song "The Unicorn", which was played ad nauseam on the jukebox in one of my favorite hangouts near the North Park campus during my early post-student years. Believe me, that is one song that'll really grate on your nerves if you have to hear it eight times a night.

I listen to the Hoopsville archives when I'm at work if there's someone listed on the weekly menu posted here on D3hoops.com that I want to hear. I've never listened to the show live. If I went back and listened to every minute of the shows via the archives, when would I ever find the time to make seven-paragraph posts? ;)

Welcome to the dark side, Luke...

Did you ever wonder about the true depths of darkness of the Calvin-Hope rivalry?

How many quarters should I bring?

2 tolls each way on I294 ($1.60 each way)
2 tolls each way on I88 ($1.60 each way)
1 toll to get off at Orchard ($.50, there shouldn't be a toll to get back on there)

So..... $3.70 on the way there and $3.20 on the way home

Big mistake .... do you realize how many Hollanders aren't going to make the trip now?  Or are going to get lost/be late taking side roads and service drives to avoid the tolls?

HAHA, that is so true and I can say that because I am Dutch (Wiersma) and went to Hope.

DC: You're not Dutch--you're Friesian! :o

So...will one ticket get you into both games?  Has that been positively determined at this point?  I'm taking my two nieces to the game (hopefully, future Calvin players, as they're 6 feet tall in grades 9 and 10).  We'll get to the hotel early (hopefully) and I'm wondering if we can head over and watch the first game.

Amen to that. And being Frisian is INFINITELY better than being Dutch. I've pointed this out to Wiersma before. He didn't listen - evidence that he is indeed Frisian.

Yes, I hope to be there early also.  Tonight I will be cheering for the team wearing maroon.  Twice.  ;D

Excellent.  I hope to meet you (and many others) at the game.  I'll be sitting with the parents.  The rest of the family will be in Chelsea for the final game (before playoffs).  Chelsea is 19-0!  I'll be sitting between two tall blondes!  Go Knights!

According to the IPass website, if one goes illegally thru 3 toll plazas in 2 years, they start sending you tickets.  I blew thru one two weeks ago, but do not wish to tempt fate.  The website says you may buy an IPass at selected sites in Indiana.    Does anyone know who sells them?

Also, I am assuming nothing here.....but has anyone heard about how tickets are bought for Saturday?

We were told to pick up an I Pass at any Jewel Osco.  There is a $10 deposit and the minimum you can put on it is $40 according to my friend in Indiana.

Man, take a couple weeks off from posting, and what do I find?  Hope fans  blowing through toll gates. I know some of ye like to drive fast, but purposely breaking the law?  Albertus must be turning in his grave    ;)

Good luck to all teams tonight. Not really pulling for anyone, but I am a big Mike McGrath fan. He took what former Hornet Pat Cunningham built, and took it another level. It's impressive what he has done at Chicago.

Glad to see MIAA.org righted itself on the Men's Basketball section.  Some of us in the Kalamazoo family were feeling a bit slighted.
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Hope evidently has 25 more tickets for sale. They are on sale now at the DeVos box office. You can call them at (616)395-7136.
