Can he move?  (the 7'9" guy, not the ref)

not really and that's the problem.  He can't run down the floor fast at all.  He can't really jump either.  For positive things, he did do well at free-throws and he knew what he was doing somehwhat out there because when he was getting tripled teamed, he often found the open man.

Oh yeah his name is Sung Ming Ming  :)

No time to wade thru all the posts.  Can someone give me a skinny on recruits who have made their choice known?

Looks like you'd have to be in pretty good shape to make that trip.

Mr. Ypsi

But it IS in-region, isn't it?

(Personally, I'm holding out for the ferry - anything over 2500 miles, I won't swim!)

Tyler Tanis SG, Jenison ---Hope
William Bowser F, Midland Dow---Hope
Kelvin Carter PG, Midland---Hope  (it appears a couple websites jumped the gun on that one, as it appears it isn't official)
Jeff Keyser PG from East Jordan to Hope

Tyler McGuire G, Sheppard----Albion

Mike Sutton from Kenowa Hills to Adrian

Tyler Stewart of Okemos---Kzoo
Ronald Wilson Flint International Academy---Kzoo
Elvin Caldwell, Flint International Academy---Kzoo

.....others of local interest
Bryan Snyder from Jenison to Aquinas
Kelvin DeVries from Kalamazoo Christian to Cornerstone
Bryce Semple  from Zeeland to Cornerstone
Dominic Allen from Hudsonville to Cornerstone

Those are what have been reported on here, to be honest Tyler Tanis is the only one who's said anything in a paper publicly, along with the "signings" by our NAIA neighbors.  All the others were reported by bankhoops.com, greatlakeshoops.com or a poster.

Sorry, but do to the super secret alloy developed by NCAA scientists to build the magic ferry.......it only works on fresh water.

Jim Dreyer can help you out with your training if you need it. ;D

I would certainly HOPE that you are not implying that I'm not in shape for 3500 miles ???

But my ipod tends to corrode after the first 2500 in salt water, so that last 1000 miles is SOOOOO boring.

I'm sure everyone has tried a bunch of these by now, but check out from NY to Lisboa Portugal... After "swimming" the Atlantic (aren't those geeky Google guys so funny!!!), the route takes you through half of Western Europe to get there, instead of swimming there directly. Heck! They don't even let you stop for a breath on any of the islands in the N. Atlantic...

Sorry Chuck, Google is dramatically smarter than whatever the NCAA uses, and counts the swimming as mileage. :P

Email from a friend. I assume it's a forward going around... possibly even started by google as a way to up the usage of maps.google.com as opposed to Mapquest?

Google is one of the only things I've ever encountered that is clearly taking over the world, and I know it, and have absolutely no qualms about it. :D

I haven't looked up any others, but I did note that NYC to Paris has you departing the US by Boston or something like that... maybe they wanted to spare people the likely death by immersing your body in the NYC coastal waters.  :D :D :D

If you try swimming to Europe from any point on the North American continent I have to say that death is more than likely. :D

For most of us I'd agree but maybe not for this guy!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6536283.stm (for those of you that don't click on the link: A Slovenian man swam the entire length of the Amazon! 3,272 miles!!!) I read elsewhere that he has said he won't do the Nile because its too easy.

The thing I like about both NY to Europe trips... after the long swim, of course...

are item #24 "slight right at E05.

And the time it would take to complete: "about 29 days 22 hours"

That's the one to Lisboa

The one to Paris is 29 days 7 hours.

They left out a step... where do you carjack somebody's vehicle to complete the trip?  'cause you sure as heck aren't going to RUN that far, especially after swimming that far...

Unless this is going to be the course for some whacked out extreme triathalon...?  (If you thought the Ironman was easy... try this!)
