If you need further evidence that someone at Google (or somewhere else) has a sense of humor, go to the google main page, type in "french military victories" and then click on the "I'm feeling lucky" button.

On a more basketball related note......

From Albion's website, this note.

Former Albion College men's basketball All-American Brandon Crawford completed a successful professional season in Osnabrueck, Germany by being named to the Eurobasket.com All-Region North first team. Crawford averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds per game for the Osnabrueck Sports Club Ballers, who posted a 30-18 record.

I haven't looked up any others, but I did note that NYC to Paris has you departing the US by Boston or something like that... maybe they wanted to spare people the likely death by immersing your body in the NYC coastal waters.  :D :D :D
If you try swimming to Europe from any point on the North American continent I have to say that death is more than likely. :D
To quote the defeated French... touche. :D

So on this swim.........where do you keep your passport?   ???
Scott, you have to remember that the people will most likely be wearing a wet suit. I'm sure it will fit... somewhere, though it does create a little unwanted drag. :D :D :D

Its a little practice called google bombing.

If you want another fun one, type in "failure" and hit I'm feeling lucky! (warning: the elephant lovers might not appreciate this one, but the donkeys will...)

On a whim I thought I'd try this one out on Google... again, elephants beware. Please dont' turn me into Ashabi for this, I'm not a bad person (not that he was either) - type in a**hole and click I'm Feeling Lucky. Those guys are out of control at Google.

If you actually read the link that SKOT provides, you'll see it's not Google that is doing it, but users manipulating the system.

Thank you Pat. I got too excited by how much fun looking up random terms with google's Get Lucky button turned out to be. I feel appropriately chastened and would like to extend my humble apologies to Google and all the "out of control" people that work there. Also, thanks to SKOT for the learning experience (quite an enjoyable one too...).

Word on the street in Holland and in 1 company email is that a 6'9" basketball player, who prepped at Holland Christian, is transferring to Hope.

hoopdreams

Tyler Tanis, Kelvin Carter, Will Bowser, and Tony Gugino (6'9 from HC)?  Christmas comes early to Hope College and next years roster.

that would be big for hope if they went there would fill the center spot
i love hope  sports all of them are really great to watch

hoopdreams

Gugino is not a big banger by any means, but he will give much needed assistance on the glass.  Hope's JV roster has a 6'10 kid on it (puls).  Did he play and any projections for the next 3 years.? His little bro, 6'9, hasn't decided where he's playing next fall.  He and tanis are on the same team for the prepspotlight all-star game tomorrow, maybe they'll chat.

As of now the Tony Gugino to Hope transfer is just a rumor.......or at the very least nothing can be confirmed with people who would know.

Untill Tony says something, best to leave it alone.
