Hope's class is LOADED, officially....and you've got the POTENTIAL for something special
Sounds like a typical year for GVW and his crew. :)

FWIW:  Was watching CSI last night, and the boss man was wearing a HOPE Athletics blue sweatshirt.

FDF saw that too!  I thought he was hallucinating, but since you've confirmed it... :D    Can anyone confirm if it was "our" Hope, or another?

Its nice and all, but the CSI world is abuzz that these two got a dog together!  :D ;D   Apparently fans are taking this sweatshirt as some hidden sign for their relationship.........and off camera contract status. :D

I really hope CSI isn't going down the road of Too Close For Comfort

"Ted Knight's character of Henry became famous for wearing sweatshirts of colleges and universities. Eventually fans would send in sweatshirts from universities around the country hoping to get Henry to wear them"

He was Tim Allen before Tim Allen.

.......ah yes, who misses the 80's?

has any one heard  how the other miaa teams are doing in recruting for next year

I hear Calvin had an outstanding recruiting class.........unfortunately most of them will be playing for other colleges.  ;).............ah, Calvin doesn't need much this year anyway.

Hope's class is nice, and could certainly fill some holes next season, but Freshman are still Freshman.  It just pleases me that there won't appear to be a huge cliff at the end of next season.  I said awhile back I thought Hope was way overdue for a solid recruiting class of Freshman, I'm happy it worked out the way it did.  As I also said earlier, I think Hope got 3 or 4 of the top 5 names I heard throughout the year, and maybe a couple sleepers none of us have seen play.

Its uncertain of course how many make varsity or play, but the ones who do will be able to be brought into to the team rather easily, and won't be forced to play major roles.  I'm pretty certain Hope is set with their top 6 or 7.  But hey, 1 or 2 could surprise us and I think Hope will again be a 9, 10 or 11 deep team.

At any rate, I don't think Hope is done with recruiting, and there's a lot of sunrises and sunsets between now and move in day on MIAA campuses.  So alot can still happen.

Down in the CCIW room, Titan Q seems equally optimistic regarding Illinois Wesleyan's recruiting class - will be fun for me down here in St. Louis to watch both these groups develop  -  I haven't seen a thing regarding Wash U's incoming group....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

To say the top 6-7 are set is of no certainty.  With the exception of Kramer, no one played particularily well the last few weeks.  they are in dire need of a pure point (or 2), multiple players who can clean the glass, and legitimate/consistant scorers.  Not so sure the returning players fill those needs. I have a strong feeling that the freshies are going to play a big role in their success, there will definitely be some changes to the roster and hopefully the returners will welcome the change with open arms

I think "Tim the tool man Taylor" also wore college sweats from time to time.  Glad I wasn't the only one who saw it.
I agree with Sac that we will just have to wait, and see how this years incoming class really turns out.  Calvin has a really decent core group returning, but like Hope has several holes to fill, especially on the glass.  Calvin's jv was good this past season, and a few of them should make the move to varsity.

Oh the people you run into at the strangest times.

Goodknight & I, both volunteering at a Bruce Hornsby concert, in a Wesleyan Church.  I'm not sure which is more surprising - us both at a Bruce Hornsby concert (I don't think either of us qualify as dead heads, at least not in the musical sense of those words) or both in a Wesleyan Church.    ;D

As much as I enjoyed Bruce with the band... He was a huge success, before he became one of the six or eight keyboard players for the Dead. I was a Bruce fan before I was a Dead fan.

At a Wesleyan Church???  :o :P

The biggest surprise, I suppose, is that we were rooting for the same team. ;)
Is there anyone, anywhere, who can make more magic on a piano than Bruce?

Well there's a long valley road I never thought this forum would go down.  ;) :D

He really was amazing.  The guy shows up for sound check, and proceeds to play the piano for 3 solid hours without stopping.  He then had dinner, and "warmed-up" back stage for 45 minutes, and then played a 2.5 hour concert.  I asked him afterwards if he ever got tired of playing, and he said if he ever did, it would be time to find a new job.

You get to witness these things when you're running back stage security   :)
