Is there anyone, anywhere, who can make more magic on a piano than Bruce?

I always expects something magical from Bruce--with or without a piano.

Oh the people you run into at the strangest times.

Goodknight & I, both volunteering at a Bruce Hornsby concert, in a Wesleyan Church.  I'm not sure which is more surprising - us both at a Bruce Hornsby concert (I don't think either of us qualify as dead heads, at least not in the musical sense of those words) or both in a Wesleyan Church.   

The biggest surprise, I suppose, is that we were rooting for the same team.

Funny you should ask. Even as I read your post, I'm listening to Schnabel's Schubert. I'd put my vote in for him. Two weeks ago, at Calvin, Angela Hewitt gave a stunning Bach recital. That also was magical.

Sounds as if Hope is pretty much done, maybe one more they're trying to shoehorn into the dorms.

Maybe you should check your sources again. I hear he preferred to have the school colors referred to as "Blue and Orange" instead of "Orange and Blue"... I wonder if that affected his decision to leave Michigan.  8)

Word on the street is that Hope/calvin games are going to be just about every other game. 12 in all or so.

Maybe he and bother Brad, who just recently lost his job down here at St Louis U, can start their own business -

Seriously, Brad Soderburg was a quality guy - with the stuff he ran at SLU, he just seemed a little out of his element - I think he'd make a great D3 coach - He was a head coach at Loras (Iowa) in the late 80's early 90s and had 5 straight winning seasons.  While at SLU, he played exhibition games against several D2 and D3 teams.  Just don't know if a guy who has moved to  D1 would be eqiuipped to go back to the challenges of D3.
