Albion's schedule, nice tournament at Otterbein.

And they've got Illinois Wesleyan at the their Tip-Off tournament.  Granted, IWU was down last year, but playing the CCIW is almost always a good thing

This should be a good pickup for Olivet.  400 wins at any level means you are doing something right.  Hopefully he can bring them some stability in their BB program.

It does sound like Olivet has gotten a very solid coach.  I know over the years Griffen, Aultman, and for you historians Dan Davis have done/did quite nicely at Calvin.   This guy can teach young players, knows the fundamentals, and can recruit talent.

The last couple years I've shared the exploits of the Homer Trojan baseball teams national record for victories.  Along those same lines I ran across these little facts about Class D Allen Park Cabrini's softball squad.

Yesterday they won their 2nd straight Class D state championship, winning their 74th consecutive game.   They set what I believe I read was a national record by allowing one run the entire season.  :o

Mr. Ypsi

Yep - ONE run allowed in 35 games!

And they finished off the season in proper style - Katie Osburn pitched her TWELFTH no-hitter of the season in the title game (she also got the only run she needed with a lead-off homer in the bottom of the first)!  And this wasn't against a creampuff opponent - Frankfort was leading the state (all divisions) in both RBIs and home runs.

So, when is the Homer-Cabrini matchup? ;)

If they play on a softball diamond, I'll take Cabrini

TSU's schedule reveals they'll be in Orlando with Hope at the RDV Tournament.

UW-Oshkosh and Elmhurst are 2 of the other teams.

I can't remember but I think FDF told me this was a 6 team affair but you only played 2 games.    ???

Elmhurst and Oshkosh would be nice additions to the Hope schedule.

sac - last year it was as you said - 6 teams, each playing 2 games.  Maybe it's the same this year, hopefully not.  I would love to see Hope play Elmhurst and Oshkosh.

I do know that we will be there.  For us (a family full of Disney junkies) it's the ultimate - a Disney/Hope basketball vacation.

Wouldn't be the first time that Disney and Hope basketball went well together...............(think 1990) ;D

Last years RDV had Albion, Elmhurst, North Central, Buffalo State, Lincoln and Gwyned-Mercy.

I guess Elmhurst liked it so much last year, they decided to do it again...........or maybe they just didn't have enough time to see Epcot last year.

I'll admit I don't remember the 1990 connection, but I do remember the 2003 tourney in early January at Warner Southern.  Saw some well tanned Hope boys play some not so hot basketball

Does location matter for in-region games if the teams are within 200 miles of campus?

Not to reopen a can of worms, but does playing Elmhurst and Oshkosh in Florida count as in-region or no?

I was living in Chicago in 1990, and paying no attention to MIAA and D3 basketball at that point.
Even so, I know that sac is talking about the distaff side of your program.  I never saw her play, but I understand that Disney whirled. ;)
