Stephen Cramer's German team

Looks like you don't want to mess with that dude Kemptner.  Yikes!

This is the same team that Jason Boucher (Grand Valley?), and more recently Greg Immink, played on/for.  Look for Cramer to move up a league or two next season, as Greg has.  I'm sure he'll be needing more of a challenge.

I believe the Rhinehart brothers are playing in the same league.

Both of the Rhinehart's are listed but neither appears on the teams' roster it says they should be on.

And here is Cramer's team's official site (which for now is just a single picture)

Thanks for the karma Stinger. Not sure what the whole karma thing does yet, but I'm sure i'll pick up on it soon.

I can definitely understand the quote from the Index...it seems like just a few years ago when the Rolla Dome was packed even with the extra bleachers for Hope and Calvin (yes I know Veenstra brought the crowd for Calvin for a few years from Kalamazoo). Of course, wins and a coach that was more animated and vocal than any person in the cheering section were a couple of contributing factors. However, the small cheering sections we have had have been vocal and witty, and I think a few more wins will bring in a few more buzzing (and buzzed) hornets.

On another note, the last I knew about the younger Rhinehart was that he was looking for a team. Its not that he wasn't offered back in Germany, but I believe he was getting better offers from other places so he was weighing his options. That was a bit ago so things may have changed.

PnR - forgot to welcome you - it's great to have another Hornet joining us.

I know that there are probably more than a few Hope fans who may disagree with me, but I really miss the Stingers at the Rolla Dome.  I always looked forward to that game, with a good sized, vocal Hope crowd, and the Stingers and their craziness.  Same could be said for the student section a few years back at Albion.  Loud, boisterous, obnoxious, rowdy, sometimes a bit out of control fans.

...reminded me of myself when I was in school - my wife might say I'm still that way sometimes...   :o

I know for a fact the visiting Hope players love to play in those places too.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Does anyone know of any Calvin scrimmages? CCM?

I think they are scrimmaging the JV tomorrow and Lake Superior State next Saturday.

I was starting to wonder about these cross division exhibition games being pointless.

Grand Valley St. knocks off Michigan State tonight.

I think they play this morning at 10:00.  Don't have the time yet for next Saturday. Micah Hudson (an '07 Chelsea grad) plays for Lake Superior State.  That would be fun to watch two old teammates play against each other.  I'll get to see that this year with Albion if Stasiak plays.  He played basketball for Saline (one of Chelsea's biggest rivals), but he played on the same travel team with John (Mantel).  He's a hustler and a very good shooter.
