HC:  Do you remember Stegman?

The name does not ring a bell.
Hope forward in late 90's early 00.  Had a bit of a potty mouth.  It doesn't happen often, but Hope gets a T several times a year.

I can confirm it was a 'T' on the Hope fans, and it had nothing to do with language, just sensitivity.  Wow thats something. :D :D :D

Given the way Hope shot, being up 7 is just fine, Hope has 16 more shots with 0-9 from Wolfe, VanderHeide and VanSolkema.

16 points from the Freshman.  8)

Oh, I don't doubt it. I've played noon ball at the Dow and have heard a few invectives here and there. The best T I saw was the one on GVW for trying to guard Draayer in the MIAA Championship game.

Jeez, 16 fouls in one half. That's a lot.

Sensitivity? You can get a "T" for being insensitive? Holy Moly.

Thanks Sac for the clarification.  I was trying to type and listen.

A double foul for running into each other?

Wow, 4 on Reimink now too. These refs are "special." Lets hope that we don't see any of the three refs doing tonight's game tomorrow afternoon.

They're certainly calling a tight game, but so long as they're consistent, that's fine.

Wolfe!

Pace is picking up the second half.

Not watching the game in person it is hard to tell but considering the foul discrepancy in the first half I can't imagine these calls are really being called evenly. Unless of course Roanoke plays very laid back defense, in which case the fact Hope is shooting so poorly and not winning by more is quite disappointing.

Hope getting a bit sloppy, and not digging for rebounds.

I've never cared for that kind of assessment. The refs are only one variable in determining disparity of calls. There are plenty of others, the most obvious being the possibility that one team is simply fouling more. In other words, it may be objectively accurate, not subjectively inaccurate.

Not only that, as fans we have a greater interest in believing that the refs are biased than the refs do in choosing sides.

John VanIwarden doing the PA announcing, between the live stats and this little nuget, this seems like a Hope tourament hosted in Florida :D

I have seen disparity in foul totals in NCAA games.  Part of it has to do with what is called in one area/region of the country is allowable in the other.  It just sounds to me like Hope (for the most part) is just playing aggressive.

That strikes me as a more plausible explanation.

Fouls are Roa 9 HOpe 7 in the 2nd , I definately agree Hope plays agressive on D.

Hope's definately in more foul trouble with Reimink and Vanderheide with 4
