Logic would seem to indicate you want your best players on the floor at crunch time in close games.  Just a idea, but perhaps winning many games by big margins, and using the depth on your bench is great until you meet a (talented) team that plays a shorter bench, and the starters are used to playing 30+ minutes or more a game.  Sac;  I think your analysis is great, and my only question is spread of playing time.

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas. :)

Exactly one month till THE GAME.  Can't wait.

Glad to see Calvin getting into action in a couple nights, even if I have to listen to it on the radio.  Then the Knights get another lengthy break as they start league-action January 9th verses Tri-State.  Can't wait for league action!

I'm kicking off the Pick'em with a little side contest.  Predict the final regular season standings.  You can enter on the MIAA Pick'em board.  We will start with picking games on January 2nd (with a new format).

The Dutchmen play in the annual "Russ DeVette Tournament" this weekend. But... special prayers are sought for the man that this tournament is named after as Coach Russ DeVette suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. Please keep the coach and his family in your prayers.

Thanks!

Thankfully, I did hear from Mr. Renner this morning that Coach DeVette has returned home, and is improving.

Here's a couple tidbits for this weekends Russ DeVette Tournament.

Mt. Vernon Nazarene is 9-0, and has not played a game since December 8th, a 20 day layoff.  Only 1 game decided by less than double-digits, an 8 point win over D2 Ashland.

Grace Bible is coming off perhaps its biggest win in program history, a 92-90 win over Cornerstone on Dec 22.  Its the 3rd WHAC team the Tigers have taken out this season joining Davenport and UM-Dearborn.  C'stone beat Grace Bible by 35 just 2 weeks earlier.

Apparently C'stone had to sit a number of players due to # of varsity games played restrictions.  A few freshman had participated in a JV tournament in November.
