how do you think Calvin well do in the miaa
See the MIAA pick em board, where people picked their standings.  A lot of non-Calvin fans are starting to put them at  third.

With 22 people predicting, here are the "standings"

Team   1st place votes   Total points
Hope   17   171
Calvin   5   151
Albion   0   137.5
Tri-State   0   98
Adrian   0   95
Olivet   0   58.5
Kalamazoo   0   56
Alma   0   25

FDF, is it too much to ask to have the 2nd and 3rd place votes breakdown?

I am considering driving up to the game on Wednesday night after visiting my grandfather in the hospital in Kzoo but due to the circumstances my decision will probably be last minute. Does anyone know if this game is a sell out yet? Or if there is a way to call and try and get a ticket reserved on Wednesday morning should I come up?

Since you asked nicely, here are the votes for each team for places 1-8, and an average - based on the 23 submissions received to date (it's a really tight race between Tri-State and Adrian for 4/5 and between Olivet and Kalamazoo for 6/7)

Calvin   158   2.13   5   11   6   1   0   0   0   0
Albion   143.5   2.76   0   7   14.5   1.5   0   0   0   0
Tri-State   102   4.57   0   0   0   12   9   2   0   0
Adrian   100   4.65   0   0   2.5   7.5   8.5   4.5   0   0

FDF:  Thanks for your hard work in putting up that spreadsheet.  Based on those numbers it may come down to calling an upset or two in the pick-em contest.  :)
Even with my maroon and gold glasses on I just can't see Calvin beating Hope at home let alone at the De Vos.

Hope's last few trips to Calvin have been rough in the regular season

2005 Calvin 66 Hope 54
2006 Calvin 59 Hope 58
2007 Hope 65 Calvin 62

You have to believe it will be another good, close game otherwise you're......

No doubt both teams are going to want to improve on defending the home court after last year (each winning twice on the others floor)

My guess at the first one of the year is Olivet over Adrian... definitely don't feel too good about it though. Especially if the Comets can't find a way to slow Young down. Olivet's just too much of a wild card for me, and I'm betting their game tonight will have them in game mode still on Wednesday.

I personally think Olivet is crazy to schedule a makeup tonight.  At least it's a home game for them.
