Rochester and Brandeis both lose.

Chance for Hope to really move up in the rankings this week.

Not that I am looking past THE GAME.... but a win would be even more rewarding... if thats even possible.

Good luck to both teams, drive safely, and enjoy the game because it isn't coming 5 times this year.

Nope, just 4 times this year  ;)

Stinger,

Are you coming over to Olivet for the game?

Not sure yet. Going to make a late decision.  If I do, I'll look you up.

OK, I will be the one behind the computer doing the stats.

My spies on the ground tell the West lot at the Calvin Fieldhouse has been set aside for basketball parking only.

As of 10:45 it was pretty much empty.

Enjoy your game today where ever it may be, a drive safe.

Go Hope!

GV:  Mantel or MVH.  Mantel because he has the potential to dominate a game inside, and Hope has a serious problem if he gets some support inside.  MVH because he could also dominate, and get Calvin in serious foul trouble inside trying to defend.  I still see Hope being physical, and Calvin not responding well to that style of play.  Hope by 7-9.

And they just tipped off the JV game! We are getting so close! Go HOPE!

May it be so.

I am going to go a bit against the grain and say the key to Hope's game is Ryan Klein. MVH and DVS need to play well but I think Klein is the key.

So I am down here is South Florida, I turn on the tube and the Hope/Calvin game is on CSTV....

Pretty cool.

Go Hope!
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Shame on you, WGVU, for having two announcers from one team. It's awful. The bias in their comments is annoying to say the least.

Other than that, good game so far :)

While the final result breaks my heart and and makes me want to forget the game and move on, I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts about why Josh Englesma played so little. Granted, Mantel was playing well and Josh threw the ball away at one point, but this surprises me. I've been very pleased with his play this year, and about the only way it seemed we could slow Marcus down would be to get him into some foul trouble by getting the ball inside (to someone like Josh). Overall, I think Calvin played well. Despite the loss, I don't think refs, coaches, any player, let them down.... we just got beat.

This loss is especially sad in that the last Calvin-Hope game in the fieldhouse is a W for Hope AND gives Hope a lead in the overall W-L. Maybe it IS better to just forget the game.
