Might as well make the treacherous drive/going out in the cold worthwhile and catch the JV game at 5:45!

Sac:  If Calvin wins out in the MIAA is a very large IF.  :)
IMHO If last Sat's game against Calvin was Hope's best performance of the year than Hope isn't the team I think they are.  The more balnced Hope's scoring is the tougher they are to defend, and beat.
The word I should have used in my earlier post is that I thought Calvin played a very timid game.  Timid players avoid phyical contact, and don't like to either take it or dish it out.  Previous Calvin teams that have had success have been willing to do just that, and until the current goup of players realize it has to be much more aggressive there won't be any miracles.
Calvin's loss to Albion at home gives one a better picture of Calvin, it's players than does the Hope game.

As I was looking at Tri-State in preparation for tonight's game I was reviewing their schedule and I said "Wow!" I mean they had a difficult non-con schedule and played some very good teams, Elmhurst and Oshkosh, close. I certainly expect that Hope should win but this will not be an easy game and then to follow that up with Albion. All told, a really tough 3 game stretch. How Hope plays out these last two games should say a whole lot about this team.

I believe the last time Hope closed was the winter of 93-94.  It was bitter cold and really icy, it happened to be a Friday, so we got an unexpected three day weekend.

The Dutch must be slipping cause we had school today, one of the few around the Marshall/Albion area.  I couldn't get my car door open, so had to call my dad and get him up so I could steal the truck.  Got to love being a short distance away.  Props to the oldman!  Maybe I should get a remote car starter?

By this (in bold) do you mean that we didn't see this Calvin team play their usual game last Saturday?  If I'm understanding this correctly, then what should we have seen 4 days ago that was missing?  It seems that you're saying that Calvin is a timid team this year, and that they were against Hope, but the game vs. Hope still doesn't typify a Calvin game this year.

Make that 5:15, hopehoopfan.  Both teams have an earlier start time than originally listed.

Thank-you C-M, although I won't be making the trip down south. :( Today was a snowday for me as well. Blizzard up here in the tip of the mitt as well. Hopefully, someone will attend that posts on here and give a summary.

Even w/ the remote car starter, you door is still frozen shut!!!  A pot of hot tap water always seems to do the trick (just be prepared to be iced in when you try and get out of your car!

Or warm up some windshield washer fluid.  That freezes at a much lower temp.

Well it's either LOTS of wisdom, or the fact that there have been more cars off the road today due to the cold and snow, but this fan won't be making the trip north tonight.  Bummer. So cheer them on for me!

Go Hope!

Best idea is to stay warm and stay safe.  Of course, since the DeVos is between my house and work, I can justify the trip.  :)

Playing Mad Libs lately, DCHN?   :D

Thanks. Actually, while bored in school I found this ridiculous website that gives surrealist compliments and that was it gave me and since I almost laughed outloud in a dull corporate tax class I decide it was worthy of being shared:)

Yes, I have worked on the look of it. If you click on the MIAA logos, a new window will open with the MIAA Web site. Also, I am trying to find a clean way to add links to the broadcasts, but I have not come up with a pleasing look.

Midway through the first half, Hope 22 Tristate 13, after 3 straight 3's by Tanis!

A DVS 3-pointer saved Hope from seeing an identical halftime score to Saturday's:
