It is only an extra day, and I think it keeps the team fresh. It allows us to sit back and watch our opponents play. We get more time to prepare for them, and don't have to have our starters play 30 minutes the night before.

Except for that whole no live scouting rule. :-\

The only stat that matters to me is Capital was the OAC regular season Champion.  Thats a tough 2nd round draw in any year.

Looks like the Crusaders have some big boys, and man for man they can matchup pretty well with Hope's coaching staff. :D

(its not that I'm overlooking Bethany, just being realistic, we'll cross that bridge if it happens, but right now its Hope v Capital Saturday night.)

from what ive seen i do have to agree with you sac

Not a lot stuck out in FDF's stats beside the fact that Capital blocks twice as many as the other teams and Hope steals twice as many as the other teams. That and Bethany is in love with the 3-ball. With Capital appearing to have strong inside defense, it will be interesting to see if Hope's smallish lineup ends up going for a 3-point shooting barrage. Will Marcus and Klein be big enough to get many points in the paint. And perhaps interesting to watch, will Wolfe finally come up against defenders big enough to scare him out of driving the lane at his size.

Saturday is a lousy day for me this week; don't think I can drive up regardless, but a half-hour here or there could make the difference.  When will we know what time the game starts?

I just want to respond quickly to sac's All-MIAA selections.  I really applaud most of the picks, but take one major issue.  If in fact sac's list is the way it shakes out (which is likely), and Ian Weber does not at least make second team, I'm probably going to fistfight somebody.

Here's a guy who averages 8.8 ppg and 10.6 rebounds per game.  He's got the second best field goal percentage in the league, and matched up well with pretty much every other big guy in the league, including everyone's MVP Marcus Vanderheide.  In my obviously biased opinion, he was, at very worst, the third best big guy in the league, which would land him solidly in the second team.

I thought that the scoring margin and the assist/turnover ratio was also heavily in Hope's favor.
