I'm not much of one for rituals or superstitions, but last Saturday, veragrace "helped" me cross over into one superstition regarding apparel.

She has a new supplier of hoodies and picked up a nice new orange one last week.  Saturday morning she showed it to me and said she was going to wear it to the game.  "Sounds like a good idea," I said.  When game time drew near and we changed out of our Saturday grubbies and into our Orange and Blues for the game, she asked me one of those questions.

As she was pulling on her "yummy" new hoodie (I guess that's what you call nice warm stuff like that when you're a girl), she asked me, "Do you think I should wear this new sweatshirt tonight, or go with something that's more tried-and-true?"

When you said that she asked you "one of those questions," I thought that you were then going to say that she put on the new hoodie and asked, "Does this make me look fat?" ;) :D

Pregame rituals:  Old Dew Crew shirt from the '95-'96 campaign and a Starburst at the half and maybe another midway through the second half.  Now revealing these may jinx the game on Friday, but can I jinx it if I'm not there?

Yes, because "Wadey" sounds too much like Elmer Fudd saying "Lady!"   :D

Thanks for the answer.  Guess that will teach me to ask such an easy rhetorical question. ;)

Just say no, and then run away and hide.  Being a weak minded pansy is far better than the potential ensuing discussion.   :o

In the program from the weekend, did you notice Rhode Island College has a player whose name is a palindrome?

My wife has a cannon too - although despite her strong throwing arm, the stoneware bowl she chucked at me some 25 years ago never broke, it just bounced - which only made her madder!!

I heard that somewhere else too.

Zerimar Ramirez

His parents have a sick sense of humor, or something like that.  But then I heard on the radio yesterday that some parents had named thier twin sons Brett and Favre.  In my hometown there was a family - last name of Carroll.  They had twin boys, and named them Bow and Arrow.... Arrow Carroll - now that's just cruel.
