Its been a good 4 years for the MIAA in the tournament.  We've sent 7 teams to the tournament, and in my opinon had 3 others that maybe should have been in the tournament.

The MIAA has had a Sweet 16 team, 4 Quarterfinal teams, and two final four teams.

Total record of 17-6, which includes 3 losses to other MIAA teams.

Hope, Calvin and Albion have beaten teams from the CCIW, UAA, WIAC, NCAC and OAC among others.

It's unfortunate that teams from the MIAA have to play each other so early in the tournament year in a year out.  Those stats may be much better as a result.

Interesting in the stats by FDF, we are the better FT shooting team. HOPEfully that will hold true Friday (We saw what happened last year).
Its a great day to be a Dutchman!

As it is looking very unlikely I'll make the trip to VA (although there is still hope... My mom is in Vegas and trying to win me enough money to pay for the trip!), anyone know what the deal is with the video for the final 4? Are the semis aired? Is there a cost?

That should be on the front page very soon (if not already).  There is free internet video for at least the title game - don't recall if it is all games.

Washington was 34-38 at the stripe this weekend.  Last weekend they were 24-39, but were 15-19 in their first game, they had one awful day at the stripe vs Augustana.

Congrats to Hope upon making it to the Final Four. At this point in the season, with all CCIW teams eliminated, I generally become a fan of whichever midwestern private school is left. This year there's two of them -- Hope and Wash U -- but I'll root for Hope based upon the fact that I have more Hope friends than Wash U friends.

Wow. It's not often that Wiele gets a compliment for his defense, which is generally considered by CCIW folks to be the weakest part of his game.

The stats FDF posted are really similar. I guess that is what you'd expect at this point from two quality teams but I think Friday will be a real serious slugfest. I am nervous and excited already! GO HOPE!

Just got my tickets!!!! According to the Salem Civic Center website tickets are only $20. My friend made the call so I am not sure what I just paid the $20 or $25 but knowing my Dutch friends as I do you might be able to save $5 by calling the Civic Center and you can do so now rather than waiting for the rush at DeVos tomorrow. (Granted it is a long distance call so that costs more ;)).

I don't have an answer to that. However, as long as you request Hope tickets when you call Salem you will be in the same general seating section. And as my friend said. If we are loud enough and crazy enough people may push us forward to get away from us:)

A seating chart of the Salem Civic Center is available at http://www.odaconline.com/hoopchamp/. I got my seats in section B6 (at $25 a piece, with a $4 service charge). I was told Hope has sections B2, B4, and B6.
