For those of you considering taking the bus trip put together by the college, I learned an important point today. We decided to go for our own travel plans and now I'm glad I did. Apparently the bus trip is making no effort to see the two non-Hope games this weekend. So in the hypothetical alternate universe where we might not happen to win on Friday  ;), the bus wouldn't even be staying for the title game.

You gotta be kidding - that is the most anti-d3-bball-fan thing I've ever heard! >:(

Anyone know if they're doing something for the Dew Crew?

Since I'm a student, that's what I'm particularly interested in finding out!

All I see on the Hope tournament site is a fan bus, but it doesn't say anything about students.

The ticket office at Hope is reserving some tickets for Hope students. We can purchase them at 10:00 tomorrow at the ticket office. I would assume they are on the court ans somewhere where we can stand. Yeah, just get there around 10 and they have some reserved for you. I don't know how many, or how long they will hold them, or how long they will last. I am getting there fairly early to make sure I get mine.
Its a great day to be a Dutchman!

Congrats to Hope upon making it to the Final Four. At this point in the season, with all CCIW teams eliminated, I generally become a fan of whichever midwestern private school is left. This year there's two of them -- Hope and Wash U -- but I'll root for Hope based upon the fact that I have more Hope friends than Wash U friends.

Quote from: Dew Nation on March 16, 2008, 07:59:04 AM- About 5 minutes in when Hope starts their run.  MVH tries to reinact his Calvin low post dominance against a much better post defender in Wiele.

Wow. It's not often that Wiele gets a compliment for his defense, which is generally considered by CCIW folks to be the weakest part of his game.

Welcome aboard, Greg. Glad to have you with us!

Thanks, HC. But I must warn you -- I will not be wearing orange this weekend. That's a Wheaton color. I have to draw the line at that. I'll stick with wearing blue. ;) :D

Make sure it's a navy blue. And, this being Easter weekend and all, why not have "Hope" written acroos it?  ;)

I just got off the phone in Salem. As mentioned before the Salem tickets for Hope are "gone" there are 700 tickets at Hope which go on sale at 10am.
According to the person from Salem...the Hope ticket office can/will take calls over the phone for Hope tickets later today....after dealing with all the people that come up to the window. I was guessing around 1 or 2 pm. That is to try and be able to sit in the Hope section in Salem. There are still plenty of "other" tickets....but not necessarily in the Hope section.
I HOPE they can find a way to expand the Hope section so we can all be together...but I'm guessing that is a dream...only a dream.
Either way....going to be there....ready to cheer on my Dutchmen.

I was 3rd in line this morning for tickets (I'm slipping in my old age), but there should be plenty of tickets available.  There were maybe 15 people in line when they started selling tickets.

Looking forward to seing you there!!!

You can't really bring Karma to Mass. Too much religious confusion.  :o

I've got my tickets, got transportation arranged, got the hotel booked. Can't wait!

Tniem, DCHN: I have a group of students going, but they're all set with rides. Haven't heard anything from the DC area alumni, but I might know more on Wednesday. Let me know what your travel plans are. We're leaving Reagan National around 9AM.

I noticed that after I read what I wrote.

FYI- I just called 616-395-7890 for the Hope ticket office and ordered tickets with my CC over the phone. Tickets will be waiting for me at will call in Salem.

Again, Salem is OUT of "HOPE" section tickets.

But they won't sell out of seats overall. Always enough seating.

And with the rate Hope fans are buying tickets, it might not matter where you sit, you won't be far from other Hope fans   ;D
