I was mostly joking when I said that..........but yeah, they're a bit obsessed with the green grass.

I noticed this obsession years ago when hanging out at the Tree House.

NWHF - you wouldn't be interested in a co-investment opportunity, would you?   ;)  ::)

Ah... Didn't your most recent excursion into "slum lord" give you a bad enough taste in your mouth???

As much as it might be nostalgic, I think it is a loser... unless you could steal it like Chuck D. did in '89.

It's just a modification of the Holland rec summer league.  In fact, I don't have the schedule in front of me, but there appearance on Wednesday may have been a one time thing.  I know that they play Monday, not Wednesday this week.  An additional team was added at the last minute which will round out the league for tournament play, so some extra games were added, to determine brackets I assume.

I may or may not know these people.

I don't get the brown comment, seriously.

Don't feel bad - I don't even get the Tree House reference

Ah yes, notice the double three point lines.  I know it is petty but I don't like the way it looks.  The laundry room might be the best in the history of d3.

Nice! I now eagerly anticipate a season filled with remarks about the Olivet laundry room. Nobody knows how to ride a cliche hard and put it away soaking wet the way that you MIAAers do. ;)

I still think a thick solid line would look the best...

If the line was made solid then that really wouldn't leave a women's three point line at all.  Unless, that is, if the solid line didn't encompass the actual women's line and therefore made the hardwood inside of the solid line the three point line.

Posted a message similar to this on the MIAA FB board, but not much traffic there (besides, the town I'll mention has so few people, they may not play football):

Just got back from a vacation out west and thought this might amuse some folks.  I've previously visited Ypsilanti, ND, but the town is so small they have no school to have colors or a mascot.  This year we stumbled upon Michigan, ND.  While the only store in town had a blue 'block M' in the window, the school apparently is chicken to take sides: the colors are Green and (probably) Gold (though it could pass for Maize); the mascot is neither Wolverines or Spartans, but Bulldogs.  (I couldn't find anyone to confirm whether or not there was any Adrian connection!)

Inoffensive neutrality is not an endemic North Dakota trait. I know a retired Covenant pastor who grew up in the small North Dakota farming community of Cooperstown. It consisted of about a thousand people, half of them German-Americans and the other half Norwegian-Americans. Everyone in Cooperstown was a Lutheran, but the village nevertheless had two Lutheran churches. He swears that the reason why is because the German-Americans believed that it was OK to drink beer but that women shouldn't wear makeup in church, while the Norwegian-Americans were against beer drinking but believed that it was OK for women to wear makeup in church.
