Also, there is a recent Mona Shores grad on campus who I believe is an 07 grad, can't remember his name, but he is a kid I was quite impressed with in hs ( better than the highly regarded Heneveld at the time) 6'5-6'6ish.

I have heard through other sources that Tony Roof from Mona Shores is attending Hope.  If this is who you are referring to, that would be a good thing.  Big kid, hits the boards hard, and (like every big man recently) has a good outside shot.

Or is it Adam Dickerson?

I'm not familiar with either guy, but some internet wizardry shows Roof graduated last year and Dickerson in 06.  Dickerson also played on the WMLakers AAU team........which as some who follow know has sent a number of kids to MIAA schools.

They also sound like clones.

It is Dickerson, not Roof on campus

It may  be quiet in the DeVoss, but preparations for the season have been anything but since school started! Open gyms and  PE conditioniong classes have been getting the men in shape for what will prove to be a very competitive tryout with all the returning talent, incoming freshman, and transfers.

How many this year? 6?  What a joke.
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Some are probably coming from CC's which unless things have changed are only 2 year schools. As for the others, why should they be faulted for deciding after a year or two that the school they initially attended was not for them. The fact that Hope has a strong program with a great coach is what entices them to transfer there as opposed to say  Kazoo ;)

sac

CC's are transfers according to the NCAA manual whether they've graduated or not.

Jealousy aside, is it a transfer if someone doesn't compete for a couple years and enrolls at another school?  By my count, Hope has 4 of those.

.......might have to break the manual out again.

Out of curiosity, how many JC transfers does Kzoo get in its general student enrollment.  I'm guessing not many.

Oh boy, here we go again--wouldn't be fall in Michigan (and NE Indiana) without this issue raising its ugly head.

Got to love transfers...

As a matter of fact our 2008 MIAA Tennis MVP... A transfer! (From Western no less... Guess he didn't like Kalamazoo!)

Ouch!  Where is the love, FDF?  So early in the pre-season to get the digs in!

You know the old saying - you pick on the ones you love.   :D

BTW - nice job correctly using "pre-season"!!  No Sager retaliation on that one

Or less commonly referred to as the pre-pre-league-season...  ;)

Why should I retaliate? FDF is right; you used the term correctly. If italicizing it was your way of baiting me, all I can say is that you need to put better worms on the hook. ;)

At the risk of taking the worm.... a) you responded, so the bait seems to have worked, and b) it's bolded, not italicized  (italics/bold, pre-season/pre-league, let's call the whole thing off).    ;)    Let the games begin!
