Your timing is off.  In 1914 essentially no one thought we'd ever get involved in The Great War. :-X

If there's one thing that we've learned during this political campaign, is that the facts and reality are clearly biased for the damn liberals that want to destroy this country with their "clean air" and "health care" and other crap . . . the fact that you dare call RFB out on his alleged "mistake"  in trying to excuse Redlands' embarrassing loss to the mighty Tigers 94 years ago merely demonstrates that you hate this country and pal around with terrorists.

RFB . . . don't let damn commie, socialist, terrorist, liberal, Democrat, I hate America realist nut bags limit your god given right to bear arms and create your own reality.

Love to your little "root for anyone but the Bulldogs" shorty.

Dang, you got me exactly (well, except for the 'realist' part - I subscribe to the motto: "reality is a crutch for those who can't handle drugs")!  You been stalkin' me? :D

Them's fightin' words snoop!

I like to think of myself as a beer swilling, gun totin' leftist, anarchist, libertarian, socially progressive, fiscally conservative Democrat who believes in equal protection of the law, that power corrupts, and that plaintiffs' trial lawyers are doing god's work.

But then you knew that didn't you?

Notice I said getting ready. Our entry into WWI was inevitable and just a matter of time.

Since as late as 1916, Wilson won re-election on a platform of NOT joining the 'European' war, I salute the prescience of the Redland's boys! ;)

Their extra years of preparation may have greatly shortened the war. :D

You're correct he did win on a platform of nuetrality. It still did not change the fact that the United States would eventually be dragged into the war. Our stategic alliance with England and others would prove to be too important for us to sit it out.
