DAW -
You're right, dads worry just as much as we do, but I'd like to think they are keeping it inside so us moms don't totally lose it in the stands!  Can you imagine what our kids would think of us if both parents were trying to make it onto the field after an injury? :)

Hope LR's injury isn't too bad (RFB is right about the young healing quicker)

I will keep you all in my prayers so track season isn't a total loss for him.

I don't think dad's worry as much as mom's.  If you change the term from worry to care you are correct.

Oh i think Dad's "Worry" and "Care"  just as much... I still stand by that... they just show it differently ;)

I too, am sorry to hear about LR's injury.  I hope his recovery goes smoothly.

I am also curious about how that ad got on here, and glad to join the opposition (to both the Ad and Prop 8 ).  For those of you that haven't seen it, the LA Times ran a good editorial on it yesterday.

The ad is everywhere on the D3 website . . . likely only for those of us in CA . . . but I think it appears like 4 times on the d3.football home page . . . wait, I'll look . . . yup . . . 4 times at d3football.com . . . only 3 times on d3hoops.com . . . and of course on the banner right above where I am now typing . . .

I don't harbor any grudge against the website raising a buck or two so long as we can post on the topic as well.

Don't Forget to Vote!

And don't institutionalize discrimination in California, vote no on 8.

Must be only Cali posters - I haven't seen the ad.  (But I oppose the ad anyway!)

MC,

Is that because of the browser or do you pay a premium fee for access w/o ads? . . . Cuz I just switched browsers from Safari to Firefox . . . and I still get the ads . . .

I stand corrected Dutchfan ....So sorry...... Dads may not worry as much, but they obviously care as much -  I realize now my remarks may have been too generalized.    (Wouldn't want anyone thinking all dads "worry" about their sons!)   ;)

I would not say that dad's don't worry about their children.  I was trying to point out that we don't worry as much.  Mom's worry pretty much all the time.  That is being a mom.  Dad's only worry when it is necessary.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Citing the LA Times hurts your credibility more than it helps.  ;)

"Not that there's anything wrong with that"  ;D

BTW Most browers have a block pop up function which will remopve this most other pop up ads.

Tenderloin-

I'm not citing the Times to prove I'm right, just giving proper credit for a published piece that I happen to agree with.

FWIW, I don't agree with everything written in the LA Times, but your blanket dismissal of an entire major metropolitan daily newspaper leaves me wondering why I would ever worry about how "credible" you think I am.

Hey, no offense, but we do not run pop-up ads. (Fans' support of Kickoff makes this possible.)

If you can't handle a couple of text ads on a page in exchange for your being allowed to use this site free of charge, then you are pretty petty. We don't ask you to click on the ads, just allow them to load so we can get paid.

Pat  No offense but the ad appears and can be blocked by a pop up ad blocker. Call it what you want but it is what is.  Hit the "block animated media from D3.com" and it is gone. Remove the block and the ad is back

The LA Times editorial section is a left wing rag.  It is not worth the paper it is printed on. The rest of the paper is not much better. Without the sport section, the Times would already be out of business.

You lefties complain about a ad that few pay attention to, then you takesover the postings of this board. That is as disgusting as homosexual behavior and homosexual marriage.

Next up bring on polygamy, marrying relatives, young children, animals...it will never end. After all, EVERYONE has rights

You deny people the right to marry multiple people, close relatives, young children, animals on and on...then you are no better than what you accuse anti gay marriage people to be.

Deny it and you are a liar.

Typical liberal hypocrite
