I agree with Pat.  If you dont like the ad, just dont read it or click on it.  Remember, you are not paying a dime to voice your opinions, talk about your team, or follow the enitre d3 sports season on this site.  Why is anyone complaining?  And, it is his site, he is allowed to make some money, after all, this is still America ;)

Tenderloin....you are way out of line.  You dont have to like or agree with gay marriage to see that the proposition is just plain discriminaton.  Gay marriage is contrary to my religous beliefs, but the Constitution guarantees each of us the pursuit of happiness and equal protection under the law.  Next thing you know there will a proposition saying people cant have screen names using names of meat.  Its funny that when people like you feel they are having their rights infringed, how your position flip flops.

The LA Times editorial section is a left wing rag.  It is not worth the paper it is printed on. The rest of the paper is not much better. Without the sport section, the Times would already be out of business.

You lefties complain about a ad that few pay attention to, then you takesover the postings of this board. That is as disgusting as homosexual behavior and homosexual marriage.

Next up bring on polygamy, marrying relatives, young children, animals...it will never end. After all, EVERYONE has rights

You deny people the right to marry multiple people, close relatives, young children, animals on and on...then you are no better than what you accuse anti gay marriage people to be.

Deny it and you are a liar.

Typical liberal hypocrite

Next.........

wow . . . and pray tell tenderloin . . . what brings you to this lefty board of liberal hypocrisy (can't wait to tell snoop that he's really a liberal . . .  ;D)

What fine institution of higher learning lays claim to you?

Do you have any idea how your rant sounds remarkably similar to what folks said about integration and interracial marriage 40-50 years ago?

You can put this ahead of your religious beliefs...that is up to you. I choose not to.

Again, where does this end? It is an inconsistent argument to say that gay marriage is OK, but polygamy, close relative marriage, marriage to children, animals on and on. After all EVERYONE has rights. EVERYONE has the right to be happy.

To deny these people their right and their happiness is no different than me wanting to deny homosexuals from marrying...not being together and living their life as they choose, but from the formal bond of marriage.

To deny the others is hypocritical on the part of 8 opponents. I expected nothing less.

I hadn't noticed where oponents of 8 were denying anybody any rights.....    ???

When are you getting on the pro polygamy, close relative, marrying children and animals train? Don't they have the right to marry and be happy?

You say no and guess what?

Pat  No offense but the ad appears and can be blocked by a pop up ad blocker. Call it what you want but it is what is.  Hit the "block animated media from D3.com" and it is gone. Remove the block and the ad is back

Well, no offense, but if an ad doesn't actually pop up then it's not a pop-up ad. Pop up ads appear in a separate window and are fairly annoying. We do not run those.

We don't ask much but it would be great if you allowed our ads to show. It's not like we're getting rich off of this or anything -- this is a side job for everyone involved and we're just trying to cover the costs of running the site.

tenderloin must not be of Japanese or Armenian decent.

I dont impose my religious beliefs on anyone else, neither should you or anyone else.  The comparison to animals or polygamy is a very poor example

How long will it be before polygamy comes up?  There are many Muslims, some whose religion allows multiple wives...Is that next? Marrying ones sister or brother? Mom? How about the pet dog?

Where will it end?

To deny this argument is being dishonest. Unless you allow virtually everything that someone wants to do within the ever changing limits of the law...you are denying someone's right and happiness.

I like the ad. I was responding to someone who asked about it.

There are strong public policies against your examples that outweigh individual rights.  There are issues such as retardation that our Supreme Court have determined outweigh some individuals rights.  The common good is much more important.  The Supreme Court draws the line for us, so far it has done a pretty decent job.
