tmerton.....Most of your post is accurate but, remember he left on his own and, he will be back, I guarantee it.  Like I said before, my problem was the difference between his wit and his personal insults and the fact that they NEVER STOPPED.

Again, I hope he comes back, and when he does, I hope he restrains from personal insults.  I don't know the history between Mr. Y and OB but right or wrong Mr. Y reached a breaking point for some reason.  If his response was only to the post about "if he were from Illinois ," I would say he overreacted, however there appears to be a long history between the two.

You have never been the object of his constant ridicule, it gets to you, it is hard to ignore.  I was doing it as best I could.  He is a different person if he is on your side.

JP....the truth be told.......I was trying to avoid OB at all costs.  I had forgotten my 9mm.

If I were OB, I would have picked up my marbles and gone home.  People today know better than to "joke" about shooting someone.  Where I work, if some a**hole makes a "joke" about bringing a gun to work, they are placed on leave and undergo a screening from a pyschiatrist to determine if they in fact pose a threat to others.  And instead of removing the post - and  the poster - from the site, the webmaster posts a justification for the comment - explaining that OB makes some posters mad.   Sorry PC, you are usully right-on, but this time you blew it.

This is exactally what is wrong with society in general today.  If anyone says anything off color is off to the pouting station and call in the psychologist.  I am a fan of crude humor and use it quite often.  It is not always appropriate and I realize that.  There is a time and place for this. 

We have reached a spot in society where people do bring guns into the work place because we as the American people do not accept mental heath treatment as a formitable solution to ones problem.  If you even mention in your work place that you are seeking counciling for your problems, you are immediatly labled the psycho or one of the crazies.  Before anyone jumps on this bandwaggon, I have seen it and its a sad thing. 

Snoop never directly threatened OB with shooting him.  The comment was that he did not bring the 9mm to the game.  With all the crap that OB throws around on this board, one would figured that comment could have been taken in jest or at least talked about and clarified. 

I have read this board for quite some time, and correct me if I am wrong, but it seems as though Snoop and OB might have a history outside of this board.  I recall comments being made about Snoops son and which MIAC school he was going to go to.  Those comments were not made in a loving manner.  There were snyde and ridiculas. 

Ypsi hit the nail on the head, OB left on his own and your comments about PC is wrong.  PC does a great job of cooling things off and moderating what goes on this board.  I am not trying to be the voice for PC, but give me a break. 

Also, lets point out one thing, Snoops karma has seemed to stabalize over the last day or so.  Mine as well.  The comment was made about him being a stalker, well he sure stalked the message boards for the daily smiting.

Made it home from work to catch the second half.  What a game.  I will saving my gloating for another board. 

I know you have been to Mexico many times, I am taking my wife to the Riv Maya after thanksgiving for a week.  Have you been there?  If so any advice?

Not familiar with it.  Is it on the mainland or Baja.  My advise is , don't drink the water, don't eat off the carts on the street and don't wear a lot of jewelery.  That advise is for anywhere you go, not specific to Riv Maya.  The people are usually very friendly and work hard and appreciate your business, tips and U.S. currency.  I love the beer.  Have a great time.

One time wonder........how do you threaten someone by DOING YOUR BEST TO AVOID THEM with something you FORGOT?     Simply, no threat was intended nor even suggested.  It was simply Ob's way to respond.  Maybe you should go back and read the entire page or so.  I am sure that your response is exactly what Bob wanted to achieve.

I read the whole exchange between you and Jack Parkman and you can backpedal all you want but the threat was there. I read this board for a long time before I logged on and made a post and from what I have read the only thing you've done is embarrass yourself, your son, Redlands and the SCIAC, and you achieved exactly what you wanted -- to make yourself the center of all attention.

Obviously if there is a threat to shoot someone then I understand that is the right option.  I was more speaking about the artificial fear that has crept into all of us in America that the next "Big Thing" is going to happen.  Maybe if we live more in unison then things would be better.

Well, it looks like the Willamette Bearcats prevailed over the UPS Loggers 49-27 in Salem.  Willamette plays Lewis & Clark next week so my thinking is that any hope for a Bearkitty stumble has pretty much flown out the window . . .

Looking for the Tigers to win big and get everyone onto the pitch tonight . . .

Hmm . . . probably too early to be buying airline tickets to Portland, reserving the rental car for the drive south to Salem . . . and . . .  8)

Well, it looks like the Willamette Bearcats prevailed over the UPS Loggers 49-27 in Salem.  Willamette plays Lewis & Clark next week so my thinking is that any hope for a Bearkitty stumble has pretty much flown out the window . . .

Willamette already played L&C.  Next week is home against Menlo, which could be interesting if we don't show up with our "A" game.

One time wonder......be specific, where did I threaten anyone, what words were used?  You can form any opinion of me you want, I don't care, however, please don't stretch the facts, or my words or intent to support your statement.  You are the only one who seems to think along those lines.

Was there with the Stealth clan and a few other families after a long TDY in August. Couple of things. The property is huge and really clean. The people who work on the property are top shelf. The food was americanized but pretty decent on the property itself. In Playa Del Carmen try the Blue Lobster. Unbeleivable. Don't get talked into group tours. They are a rip off. Find the places you want to go and get a taxi to and from. Example; We all went to Hex-Ha, it's a water theme park type, and it cost us each about $90 USD. Come to find out we could have gotten there/back and in for about $60 USD. Anyway downtown Carmen Del Playa is a big tourist shopping center. First thing you see is a McDonalds.   Not really that great of deals but fun to haggle a bit. The trip from the airport is about 1 hour, Snorkeling is decent on the beach off of the property but if you can go to Turtle beach, amazing. Enjoy the pool and pool side bars as I remember
