Hey Old Surfer Dude (D. O.C), speaking of Presidental Ground's,

Besides saturday being Oxy's homecoming game, the entire campus will be celebrating the inauguration of Jonathan Veitch as Occidental's 15th president. Although the event will occur at a much early 10am  time, i suspect that this celebration, plus the usual lunch Alumni/ Current family/ etc ..12 pm lunch prob. will last a bit longer too. Anywho's, here's to Oxy taking care of Business on saturday.

Far be it from me to challenge you on anything researchable but there was discussion pages ago about Occidental Presidential Breeding Ground College playing home night games.
This is correct?

La Verne (0-5) @ Oxy (4-1) 3:00 p.m.

BTW, just when DO we set the clocks back?
I think it depends on the outcome of certain games :)

This year PDT ends on November 1, but I've noticed that you Linfield guys are still stuck in 2004.

Fear the Poet

Should be a good one this week for the Poets vs the Sagehens. Caron is a problem for sure. He killed us last year.

Hopefully the Mighty Poets will bounce back from last weeks game.

The pass rush is much improved this year and The Poets will put the pressure on.

This one will be exciting for sure

Yes, Linfield held on for dear life until the kneel down, and they had to convert on 4th down to get there. But congratulations on the win.

It was great to come down to Southern California and beat another SCIAC team.   Looking forward to doing that some more next season.

Kingsmen4

Every game is a big game at this point in the season, but it will be interesting to see the result of the WU-Linfield game in Salem this weekend. Could have a large sway on SCIAC playoff chances (beyond the champ) with CLU and OXY loosing respectively to those two squads earlier in the year.

Best way to beat those chances are to win out. The Kingsmen, who are the most athletic, fast, and tough team I have seen in the SCIAC in a while will continue to play hard through everygame and will put it on Chapman this weekend down in Orange like they should.

This Saturday's schedule:

Redlands (4-1) @ Claremont (3-2) 1:00 p.m.
Pomona (3-2) @ Whittier (2-3) 3:00 p.m.
La Verne (0-5) @ Oxy (4-1) 3:00 p.m.
Cal Lutheran (4-1) @ Chapman (2-3) 7:00 p.m.

Oxy will roll over La Verne.

Chapman will struggle to score against CLU. Kingsmen will win.

Pomona-Whittier is a toss-up. The teams are evenly matched. I don't think the Poets can stop Jake Caron, so I'll give the edge to the Sagehens.

Claremont has the best rushing offense in the conference (219 yds. per game), but Redlands has the best rushing defense in all of D-III (34 yds. per game). Claremont hung in there against both Oxy and Cal Lutheran, but the Stags' big problem is that they don't score much (17.6 points per game). Redlands, on the other hand, scores a lot (36.8 points per game). Pick: Redlands.

OxyBob

Quick Picks: ditto.

Redlands blows out Claremont... I don't think Maynard is gonna take his hand off the throttle for the rest of the season with an at large playoff bid still a possibility.  CLU beats up on Chapman by more than 2 td's if they're as good as Kingsmen4 and others seem to believe.  Oxy La Verne at Patterson should be a done deal.  Looking for the Tigers to dominate for 4 quarters for the first time in preparation for CLU next week.  Whittier-Pomona is interesting.  If the Whittier team that smashed on Chapman is around, or if anyone on Pomona is hurt (when you have a 40 man roster injuries are key) Whittier takes it at home.  If Caron has both his receivers to throw to I think Pomona takes it.  Linfield over Willamette, but not by much.

Haha that's hilarious.  However, in the future please refrain from perverting our awesome pregame pump-up chant with the L Word.   Good luck to both L-Word and Willamette on Saturday.  :)

BULLDOGALUM52

Dogs might just dodge a bullet at claremont, 2 int's thrown by Selway both for scores not a good start...
It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.
