Rfb - I like your enthusiasm, that actually could happen. After a clu victory, redlands may get the opportunity to scrape by for a at large - prob not though. You guys have some work to do to keep up with the "big dogs" in the conference ;-)

Go lu

Big dogs? Thats funny. One conference title and your big dogs now. Thanks for the good laugh.

RFB makes a great point.  Oxy has been running the SCIAC for years now.

Exactly my point 11... OXY has been running the conference for years now, Redlands has been running 3rd place.

I've been following CLU football for about 8 years since my brother started playing, and back then Redlands was Redlands - the hype of the conference, known for dominating SCIAC 10 or some odd years in a row ... But since my time in the program Redlands has yet to show me (I am speaking for myself, not CLU, or the SCIAC, or anyone else) their prowess and domincance that I always heard about. Thats what made playing them my favorite game of every year (not to mention the rivalry). To me they were just a little too puffed up for their own good ... I respect their toughness, their confidence, etc. TRUST ME I respect the program. But until they are once again on top, lets not talk about them like they still are.

P.S. The "big dogs" comment was a joke, its actually a pun ... I guess it should have been spelled "Big Dawgs" to make more sense  :D

See you at the runner, I have chills already! All in good fun guys, lighten up  ;D

Wow!  That's great news for CalLu.  Sounds like they will have the resources to build a real gem.

The university can't host playoff games because Mount Clef Stadium does not meet NCAA criteria.

What playoff games are they talking about?

Very quick Bob, very quick.

From what I've been told CLU  has some outstanding recruits coming in.  with what they already have on their team, they may control the SCIAC for a while.

Redlands will really miss Jeff Thomas.  They have had quite a turn over in their staff.  that can't help the Bulldog cause.

Can't wait to watch the Lu go out of the Mt. Clef on top. It will be missed by all the former players and fans, but GREAT news no less. Obvious how good of a job the new administration and Coaching staff are doing... Keep it up!

No negativity here, all smiles  ;D

D O.C.

Say it ain't so, stoonk!

I suppose they will be building it across the street over by the baseball field in the side of a mountain to utilize the slope and keep Mt. Clef for soccer so there won't have to be those weird stripes all over the football field.

An article on the CLU stadium and donation is also in today's issue of the LA TImes. It is in the "LATIMES" section of the paper delivered in Orange County.

I too will miss the friendly confines of the current stadium.

They'll probably install a moat filled with hungry alligators and an electrified fence and guard towers with sharpshooters armed with M16s with telescopic scopes to protect the field like they did at Chapman.

Wonder who will get the honors of first home game 2011...wish they could flip the Linfield home and away.
