SCIAC Fan2....  IF  he goes there and IF that happens, you will be the first to know.

He has been asked to come visit, I will make sure I let you know how it goes.

Hey Snoop,

So when is the official visit with Mount Union?  Is he staying overnight with players and how soon does he need to make his decision?  What's does Mount's QB situation look like for next season?

Why not transfer to CalLu?  They have an up and coming program, good talent back, and not returning QB.

He has a shot at QB for the Raiders and has interest in a "Top" program! :)

One transfer does not a SCIAC champ make, I think we all know that.  For every Andy Collins or Brian Stuart there are plenty of guys who didn't significantly alter their team's destiny.  Seems like a lot of those type of guys quit during training camp when they find out that D3 is for real and they might have to (gasp!) compete for a spot.

No Kidding...I can't tell you how many came through and passed the look test, but never made it onto the field.

Well he didnt play like Jane at UCLA so I think he will help CLU.

SCIAC Fan2

kingsman4 the guy snoopis talking about didnt play his first year...was hurt his2d year...caught 4 passes for 27 yards his 3d year...and didnt play last year...he was probably told to hit the road by Rick Neuheisel...if he comes toCLU maybe hell do something, at least he has the good sense to go to a school down the freeway from UCLA and isn't flying all over the country with his dad trying to make coaches buy into a bunch of hype and bs...CalLu will win the SCIAC again anyway without the UCLA washout

Hey snoop CLU isnt an option for you because Ben Mcenroe has worked hard to improve the program and the last thing hed want is a blowhard like you there everyday giving him "advice"

Kingsmen4

I'm not saying this kid isn't or couldn't be the real deal - sounds pretty solid and promising. I'm just commenting on a majority of the kickbacks I saw in my day - but then again we weren't at the level we are now (CLU Football that is). Also, if he's not IN yet - then all of this doesn't matter. Let's celebrate when our respective team's players are suited up and healthy for opening day. With the way D3 is setup with no scholarships, until that deposit is payed and they show up in August, who knows?

snoop dawg

SCIAC.  I don't understand your agenda. My son is looking for a school that is the right fit for him. Why does that bother you so?
You have no idea what if anything has been discussed with CLU or antother school so please don't speculate.
I really don't understand your animosity.

This whopper is from the Pomona football web site:

QuoteThere are but a handful of schools in the United States that can boast of the academic standing of Pomona and Pitzer Colleges, and still have a winning football program. In fact, since 1995, the Sagehens (62%) have a better winning percentage than Stanford (49%), Cal (38%), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (44%), and Occidental (42%).

Note to Pomona: Since 1995, Oxy is 84-57 (.596), and Pomona is 65-63 (.508). And if we look at more recent results, say, the last 5 years, Oxy is 41-5, while Pomona is 15-30.

What would you rather be, a Tiger or a Chicken?

Looks like someone who didn't pass the California High School Proficiency Examination slipped by Pomona admissions.

How has Oxy played 141 games to Pomona's 128?  Not that I'd ever doubt OxyBob when it comes to stats; just curious.  It's also interesting how when we're talking about records, every program seems to pick a different starting point.  For Oxy it's usually 2000 or '01, Redlands supporters usually start in the early 90's, etc.  Now I guess we know Pomona's arbitrary year which makes them look best.

Personally, I'm just glad to have my school included with Stanford and Pomona in any conversation about academics.

From 1996-2002, Pomona only played 8 games per season as an independent instead of 9. Also, since 1995, Oxy has played in 6 playoff games. Pomona? None.

OXY BOB:

Picking on Pomona? You can do better than that. What else would you expect from the home team SID or Public Relations Department. I am sure OXY's same staff would not publish press releases regarding their scheduling of La Sierra in basketball. I am sure you would drop Chapman in football if La Sierra fielded a team.  But, that is ok, I realize that it is only pre-season (or pre- conference as some would write) and you are just getting warmed up! CHEERS!

snoop dawg

Dalhby......look forward to your input on Chapman  football this year.  Read your posts on the basketball board, some good points and pretty ffunny stuff.

Next time try keeping your BAC at 0.04% for a steady buzz rather than drinking the entire 5 liter box of Franzia in one sitting. Then you won't sound like a complete idiot.
