I find that remark very offensive as I have a blood sugar problem that I have inherited from my forefathers, who were imigrants from Norway and farmed in South Dakota, going back to the 1850's or so, up through the depression and still in these trying times.  I have an aunt who is going on ninety and still works around 60 hours a week. You play the hand you were dealt.I think it is okay to throw jabs in jest but when it gets personal and certain accusations are made, I do take personal offense to it. By the way, you did not respond to my statements, all you did was once again try to divert the thoughts to my drinking problem. I think I will now have another Hansen's Diet Grapefruit Soda, my favorite happy hour libation. Come on Bob, you can do better than this! Even though it is pre-season.

How has Oxy played 141 games to Pomona's 128?  Not that I'd ever doubt OxyBob when it comes to stats; just curious.  It's also interesting how when we're talking about records, every program seems to pick a different starting point.  For Oxy it's usually 2000 or '01, Redlands supporters usually start in the early 90's, etc.  Now I guess we know Pomona's arbitrary year which makes them look best.

Personally, I'm just glad to have my school included with Stanford and Pomona in any conversation about academics.

Note to Pomona: Since 1995, Oxy is 84-57 (.596), and Pomona is 65-63 (.508). And if we look at more recent results, say, the last 5 years, Oxy is 41-5, while Pomona is 15-30.

Simi's Matulaitis picks Occidental

Simi Valley High senior outside linebacker and tight end Matt Matulaitis made a commitment to play for Occidental College after considering Monmouth and Carnegie Mellon.

Matulaitis, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound team captain and recipient of the National Football Foundations Scholar Athlete Award, had a 4.13 grade-point average.

"Matt is a great blend of character, football performance, academics and citizenship and will make a great addition to the Tiger football program," said Lance Martin, Simi Valley coach.

It is all good down here GHC and already booked on Jet Blue for BWC.  Should be good in September Cal Lu and the Cats.  Cal Lu will need to do some reloading with some skill guys and the Cats some reloading with the O line but both will be ready and most likely top conference picks early on.  With La Verne two weeks after Cal Lu it is a nice treat for us this coming fall.  Just this past weekend I caught three of the four BB games Cats vs always strong Chapman.

SF, while I do appreciate the support, and find your posts most amusing, you obviously know snoop dawg from another time and have a bone to pick with him (shocking!), but I'd prefer that you keep me out of it. Surf IS up but so is the wind with spring snow in the mountains. Got out Saturday and Sunday in better conditions before the baseball games in Orange.
Besides, I have taken a vow not to go out again until Sabertooth meets me with his 10'6" gathering mold in his garage while the soccer shoes are all shiny.

Have not registered for the Bar West Classic yet, for you see, as a former winner of the singles tournament, I have an deadline exemption, unlike guys who ride around in a cardinal and purple enclosed golf cart and come up with highly questionable 14 under 4-some scramble scores.
